Icon5 New to this, but desperately seeking advice!

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 7 months. I have taken the at home ovulation tests and they have all been negative. My fear is that I don't ovulate. Is there anyone out there with expertise or advise on this. I'm hesitant to see a fertility expert because that would mean that I DO have a problem. However, I don't want to be wasting time waiting and TTC month after month if I can't do it without some help. My biggest goal in life is to be a mother, and the thought of having fertility problems never occurred to me? Any advice? I could really use it!
Thanks!

Hi and welcome!
You might be like a lot of other girls (including myself) that O later then normal. I for instance can O anytime. Sometimes cd17. Sometimes cd21 or even cd50!!!
One of the best ways to know IF and WHEN you are Oing is to chart your temps. If you do this for a few months you can see If and when you are oing. If the chart is showing inovertory cycles then you will know it would be time to see a doctor. Also it might not take having to go to a specialist right away either.
If there is a problem, you can always start with your OB first. Then can do a lot before having you go to an RE.
Good Luck. My advise would to definetly start taking your temps. How long have your cycles been on average?

Hi-
I have mild PCOS (don't ovulate on own) so have to take Clomid. We conceived our second baby girl on one month of 50 mg Clomid. In addition due to my wacky cycles I also use a Clear Plan Easy fertility monitor which takes the guesswork out of knowing which days are best to conceive a baby. Perhaps you may need to see your doc if you don't ovulate on own but unfortunately most docs won't see a couple unless they've been ttc for a year and don't get pregnant. I've had screwed up cycles since high school and they suspected I also didn't ovulate so Clomid was the magic solution for me. I'll go on Clomid 50 mg this August when we start ttc our 3rd baby. Good luck and feel free to ask more questions if you have them

Kara

Thanks for the replies! It is nice to know that there is support out there. My husband is going in for a semen analysis on Thursday. I guess they are doing this to make sure that once the get my ovulation issues figured out, it's hopefully smooth sailing.
To answer your question, my cycles are so regular...every 28 days. I've never had any issues. We'll see. Thanks for the advice on the Ovulation testing and temperature tracking, I'll give them both a whirl.
Thanks again!
