Default New to board

Hello Ladies! I'm new to the board as of today. DH and I haven't been trying very long but hope to be pg very soon. I stopped bcp in September. AF has been irregular until February. It just went back to regular cycle. I haven't been charting so I don't know exactly when I ovulate but I know that I was expecting AF on March 28th and she hasn't shown. I took a couple tests last week and they were negative but I didn't believe them (especially cuz I messed both of them up...don't ask...blonde moments). I haven't tested since then but plan on it tomorrow morning. I've been really tired, light headed and dizzy, nauseous after I eat but it also sneaks up on me at other times.. No vomiting. Nipples are tender, sides of breasts are tender and noticeably larger. I am wearing a bra that did not fit me a week ago (cups too big), now it fits perfectly. My plan is that if it is negative tomorrow then I am going in for a blood test. I know I sound crazy but I feel pregnant. Anyone have any words of advice or encouragement? Thanx for reading.

Thanx for the response. Your words are very encouraging. BTW that pic is so sweet! Absolutely adorable baby.
I really wish that I could just take an hpt and get a positive if I really am. I'm SO sick of BFN's!! I'm sure I'm one of millions!

Don't forget that if you're not charting you won't be able to tell (as easily) when you ovulate. AF doesn't go by # of cycle days it goes by when you ovulate. If you ovulated early, you'll get AF earlier, and if you ovulate late, AF will be later.

keep us updated on what's going on! The fact that you're wearing a bigger bra this week is a good sign

WELCOME!! I am so glad you have joined us!!
I will have my fingers crossed that you get a BFP. The signs sound promising. And Holly is absolutley right about af not arriving if you O later. So if it is a BFN it does not mean you are not pg. It just may be too early yet to know for sure.
Hoping for the best for you! But if you get a BFN and would like to be added to the stat list I will be happy to do so!

I POAS this morning....BFN and I got a blood test done today. It showed that I had no hcg in my blood. At first I was really upset, the tears started flowing. But I still feel like I'm pregnant. I think I may have lost my mind!!! If I O'd later does that mean that it still could be too early for a blood test to be positive??? So many things are different with my body right now.... I just don't believe the results. Someone please tell me I'm not crazy.

If you were expecting AF on March 28th that means you're 2 weeks late. Depending on when you ovulated you could actually be 2 weeks late and that would me you must be pregnant OR you only just ovulated a week or so ago and your AF will be here on time.

After you ovulate, it's called the luteal phase. A normal luteal phase is (I think) 10-16 days or something like that........although I have had 18 day luteal phases. Anyway, this phase length doesn't usually fluctuate like the follicular phase (the phase of your cycle before ovulation). Stress and who knows what else can cause your body to delay ovulation making your AF late.

It's possible that you are pregnant but that you may have ovulated later than usual, making it too soon to tell. And of course there are those sort of rare cases where women that are pg don't show up positive on the tests.

Are your cycles usually regular? Have you had this happen before where your AF was really late?

TTC makes us all crazy! You're among friends

I am so sorry that the test was a neg.
But if af is not here yet there is ALWAYS HOPE that you are indeed just to early to test possitive.
Keep us updated, and I hope that this will turn out well for you. Holly said it .... TTC drives us all crazy

I do have a hx of being irregular after getting off bc I have been on the pill and the patch. My body doesn't seem to want to go back to normal right away so I don't have regular cycles for a couple months. But I've been off of bcp since September. AF has been regular since around the beginning of the year. Based on when AF has been coming I tried to figure out my most fertile days and BD'd some days before during and after hoping to catch the day I ovulated. I haven't felt the need for charting, I know it would be helpful to find out when I ovulate but we don't want to jump right in to that. If we aren't conceiving after a long while then I would have to consider it.
Anyways, I have decided to go to the doctor. I'm going to make an appointment on Monday. If I'm not pg then there is something going on with me. Why are my breasts so big?!?!?!?!

I fought charting too........I took me a year to start charting. Some doctors will say that charting is not necessary.

I don't chart anymore but since I was charting for a few years I know my cycles are regular and I know when I ovulate.

A good fertility sign is the clear stretchy mucous that you see on the tissue when you wipe. Not all women have it but if you notice it, then you know you should be BD'ing because that stuff is perfect for nourishing sperm and helping them get where they need to be and you will usually only see it around ovulation time. Some women don't get much or only get a little watery around ovulation time. Charting will help you to know what your body does. You don't have to surrender the rest of your life to it, but it helps

Best of luck to you!

Well maybe I will eventually start charting. If I we have problems for more than a year then I would consider it. I have noticed differences in my cm. Ever since we have started trying I've been paying alot more attention to my body and it's tendencies. I am making a doc appointment today. I really hope there isn't anything seriously wrong with me that may jeopardize concieving. I'm trying to think positive!
