I'm doing good! About 95% or more sure that I have a job now...finally! Working at Burlington Coat Factory on the sales floor! I'm just waiting for final verification and it's driving me crazy! LOL!

Yeah it's getting pretty frozen up here! Kind of at that point where things freeze and then thaw out and refreeze...varying temps and crap. I hope it's not too cold today! I got a baby shower to go to and I'm late starting to get ready for it...oops and I forgot a gift too! Ahhh!

Holly, you wouldn't believe it but I am STILL waiting to hear about that stupid job! They say that my background check got sent to the wrong person or something and that it was delayed...that was last week..early last week! Talk about frusterating! And I feel like I've been calling them so much that I'm being over-eager! So I backed off all weekend. I gotta go pay my cell phone bill in cash at the mall and I gotta walk through that store to get to the cell phone island, so I may as well stop in and say WTF??? give me a job!!! This is getting ridiculous!!! Anyway, just thought I'd update. I already told you this, but I'm so excited for you about your adoption! That's so wonderful!

Linds, sorry to see your ticker back to the beginning! That sucks! But I'm still thinking good thoughts for you that you get a bfp very soon!

Yeah Jenny, good luck with that job. That really sucks that they are dragging their feet on it. Where was it again?

And no problem on the I was really getting my hopes up too much. It will happen, I know that it's just a matter of when.

Mike and I are going to Cancun for T-giving so that will be a nice little alone time and break. I am not even bringing my thermometer or FM on the trip. I shouldn't be Oing anyway but watch me end up prego....that is always how it happens right!!!

Wow! Has it really been since Nov. 20 that I haven't been on here? I'm sorry!!! But I have a good excuse! I got that job! The day I went to the mall to pay my phone bill last time I updated, I checked in the store (Burlington Coat Factory) and the lady I had talked to still said the background check hadn't come in! So I just assumed I'd try again later...she had said to call the next day. So I went and paid my phone bill, walked back through, and back to my car. And when I got there, I had a new message on my phone...now that it was working (lol interesting timing), from a different manager from that store. Well since I was still sitting there in their parking lot, I called him right back and told him where I was, we had a good laugh, and he asked if I could come in and fill out paperwork to start right away! So I did that, and that was the Wed. before T-day, and I started the next day! I'm cashiering rather than working in the Men's dept. as I had previously expected...I like this better and hope I stay cashiering! They threw me into Black Friday with my own till for the first time, but it wasn't so bad since our store didn't have any big door-buster sales. It really wasn't bad at all! Yesterday (Saturday) was worse than Black Friday! Nonstop all day! Whew! So other than a bad case of sore and swollen feet, it's going great! I love it!

Well I did have a little problem last Monday...while working, I went on my first break and saw I had a message from David saying he was feeling really sick, but not to worry, stay at work...but then there was also a page from him on my phone which he never does! So I got worried and tried to call...no answer so I got really scared and went back from my break and told my boss I had an emergency at home and told him the situation as I knew it at the time, so he let me go. I just wanted to check on him in case he was passed out on the floor or something ya know? So on my way, my phone rang and it was David calling from my dad's cell phone at the ER! He was in horrible pain so he called just about the only person available, my dad, to take him in. So I went there instead, calling my boss to update what was going on. Well anyway, long story short (too late, I know), we sat there for hours waiting to get admitted to the ER, and I missed the rest of my shift. They did a ct scan on him and it showed appendicitis. So he had surgery around 9pm and stayed overnight in the hospital. Oh and this was open surgery, not a lap so he's pretty darn sore, and out of work for awhile which really sucks! But during all this waiting and stuff for him to get admitted during the afternoon, I called work a couple times saying what was happening, still not knowing the outcome, but they told me they would take my till down since it didn't sound like I was coming back, which was true, but then she said that I had already been written up for leaving (excuse me??? FU!!!), and I was required to bring in a note from the ER doc to my next shift stating that I was there, otherwise I wouldn't be allowed to work (again, FU!). So I was pretty upset about that...sorry, but family matters come first! But anyway, I got my note and gave it to them on Wednesday and there's been nothing about it since.

So there's my big update...sorry it took me so long again! I've hardly had time for anything on the computer lately.

Lindsay, I hope you had a good time in Cancun! I'm jealous! I bet that was a blast!

WOW Jenny. Congrats on the job. That sucks that they were so bitchy about the emergency. And the fact that it was an emergency and he had surgery should count for something. UGH!!! What a PITA...I hope the job is OK now and no bad feelings either way with them or you. And I hope David has a speedy recovery.
I had my appendix taken out (well it burst actually and I was in the hospital for 2 weeks) when I was 13 and it was bad. I know how he was feeling and it's not good. Also, that is what caused my infertilty mainly the scar tissue caused from the infection in my body from the appendix. Strange how those things happen.

Cancun was a blast. It sucks to be back but at least Christmas is right around the corner and I will get some more time off.

Jenny, that sucks that they wrote you up for leaving especially when you told your boss and he let you leave! How messed up is that? I knew David had his appendix out but I didn't know all of the other stuff happened.......glad it's over!

I hope they don't bring it up against you in the future. My friend had something similar happen but she was fired. Her daughter was living in a big city, far from home and they hadn't heard from her in weeks. Finally they got a call from her. She was at a pay phone and all she said was, she was in trouble and needed help......then she hung up. So my friend left work immediately. She and her Dh flew down south to find her that day. It turned out that she had been being held against her will by a group of men for weeks, had escaped and was on the run from them.

She sued them for wrongfull dismisal and won.

It's digusting how employers don't give one crap about what's going on our lives, all they care about is that you serve them.

That's unbelievable that your friend was fired for that! That is soooo illegal it's not even funny! Yeah I'd be suing their arses off too if that happened to me! But nah, they won't do anything regarding that. A doc's note is a doc's note, and sugery is serious so they know that. Crap happens, but unfortunately for me, it happens at the worst times! I just didn't care for the way they literally threatened my job over the phone when I called to check in while we were still in the waiting room and didn't know anything yet. It's like that's not the time to be placing more worry over someone when they're already worried about a family member's health! So yeah I was pissed, and told them that later that things happen when they happen and regardless of the timing, I can't change that.

So Linds, that is what was causing your IF before huh? I can't remember if you told us that specifically before or not, but I guess I do have some recollection of something regarding scar tissue, and I know it wasn't long after your lap that you got PG with the m/c, then right away again with Evan. Well that's interesting. Makes me wonder if part of our problem, other than David's gene abnormality, could be scar tissue from when I had that cyst burst in 1991. I would imagine it would have left some scar tissue, but I suppose I would actually have to have a lap in order for them to find it wouldn't I? I seriously wonder if that's all it is? Hmmm, you got me thinking now! LOL! Not that we could afford to get PG now though...seriously we're still barely hanging on to our house still. But we'll probably check it out in the future.

Well I'm glad you had a good time in Cancun! But I bet it is good to get home to your sweet little boy! What a cutie!
