It's a GIRL!

No I'm not PG.

Dh and I have decided to adopt our little girl J whom we have been fostering since her birth 6 months ago!

After much thought and prayer we have made the decision to become her forever family. She captured my heart the minute I saw her when I picked her up from the hospital at 7 days old.

I can't post her picture because she is still in foster care. We have notified the agency of our intent to adopt and it seems to be all clear at the moment. However, even with a clear path, it can take over a year to have it made official by the judge.

We are thrilled to be finally adding to our family. We will still TTC for a while because my Dh isn't ready to give up yet. BUt after 3+ years and so many losses, it is my personal belief that TTC is futile for us.

Anyways.......I just wanted to share the news that we're adopting and we feel very blessed to have this darling girl on her way to becoming ours forever!

Holly, I just popped in to check on everyone and see how everyone is doing. I was very happy to read this post - i think thats wonderful and you are an amazing person to do what you do. Congratulations and i wish you all the luck in the world with everything !!!

How wonderful! One of my closest friends here just finalized their adoption of their foster son-took two years of getting through all the red tape but it was worth it. They were just sealed on Friday night and it was great to be there.
