Missouri Miracle (Shawn Hornbeck, Ben Ownby)

I don't know if you have seen this on the national news, but we have had nothing short of a miracle here in Missouri. A boy named Ben Ownby, age 14 was kidnapped in Beaufort Mo, (about 60 miles from St. Louis) this past week, I think it was tuesday. He had just gotten off the school bus on his rural road. A witness, one of his friends saw a white Nissan truck speeding away. There was a massive hunt for this white truck.

Now, before I continue with that story, I have an additional story that is part of this whole miracle. A boy named Shawn Hornbeck was kidnapped in October of 2002, he was 11, No trace was ever found. Nothing. His parents never gave up hope. They started a foundation to help parents and their missing children.

The police got a tip about a white truck here in St. Louis that matched the description of the truck seen speeding away from Ben Owenby's bus stop. It was at an apartment complex. The police got a search warrant, and lo and behold, they found Ben in the apartment, he was ok. That in itself was a miracle. Their was another teen in the apartment, and when they asked him what his name was, he replied "Shawn Hornbeck!!!!! He is alive! He has been missing for over 4 1/2 years, and he is found alive. I cannot believe it. What a wonerful, wonderful thing.
They dont know what he has been through, and I can only imagine the emotional and psychological journey he is going to go through now, but he is home with his parents. They have had press conferences this morning and they talked to both sets of parents. I am so happy for them that I am crying. If you can, please say a prayer for both of these families. I am sure they both have healing to go through....what a wonderful story, huh?
