Default U/S Update (x-post) & Prayer Request

We had a great ultrasound today. Everything looked perfect, and despite the fact that Makenna insists that the baby is going to be a monkey, we are pretty certain that it is going to be a lovely little boy! We are thrilled.

I will have to have another u/s in a few weeks to check the placenta. Since I have anti-cardiolipin antibodies they need to make sure that there are no clots constricting flow to the placenta. I am taking baby aspirin for this and may start Heparin injections in the future. Of course this is something that is worrisome for us. Losing blood flow to the placenta would cause placenta failure and fetal demise so we would appreciate your prayers for a continued healthy pregnancy.

That is so exciting Kerri! Congrats on your BABY BOY .

That is too cute Makenna thinks it's going to be a monkey . That would truly be a surprise. I'll be praying for you as well. I know it must be nerve raking but I have a good feeling everything is going to be just fine.

Thanks Misty. It won't be too much longer until you can find out the sex of your little one! Do you plan on finding out? I am going to guess girl. But I guessed girl for myslef and I was obviously wrong.

Yes, we will find out. I can't imagine not after these long two and half years . I tell ya it seems to be half and half with friends and family. I feel like I've heard girl more though. My doctor & the nurses predicted boy.

Somehow I've felt that I would have a boy first. Not sure why. Of course, I've had friends that felt one way or the other and they were wrong. I'll take either just happily . I just want to know so I can decorate and go shopping LOL!

Would a monkey be so bad? I believe with all my heart that everything will be just fine! And as for the boy/girl issue, Lesley was told that she was having a boy the whole pregnancy, but she kept asking "What if it's a girl?". Right up to labor, they kept saying boy, she kept asking "What if it's a girl?" Guess what? It was a girl! They say that mothers are right about the sex of their baby 71% of the time. So, don't discount your gut feelings!

Hang tight, sweetie! God and your TTC sisters will help see you through.
