I'm back from my RE appt. I feel a sense of restored hope . He basically asked me a bunch of questions and took one look at my charts.

He said this is your problem. Meaning delayed ovulation. He said that O on cd 18 and sometimes later can cause me to have bad quality eggs, which in turn can cause me to miscarry.

He wants to run a couple of test though. Today they checked my hormone levels, they want to do an insulin & thyroid test, a brain scan (not sure if they want to do that ), HSG UGH! , and something about milk discharge (not sure if I got that right).

Anyway enough said. He doesn't believe in progestrone. He said there's no proof that it works. For the pg that survived. They would have survived without the progesterone. He also doesn't think the D&C caused me to have this last m/c. He said there's no proof that waiting after a m/c to ttc does anything. It's basically for your own mental health. I don't feel so guilty now.

After all the test get back and we find out why my O is delayed, that will determine the course of treatment. Yep, I'm so glad I went now . Thanks Ladies

Wow Misty! I'm so glad you finally got some good news! Now maybe they can get the ball rolling in the right direction! Not so sure I agree with him on the progesterone but he's the dr not me. Well good luck and let us know when you find out about your test!

I agree with you on the progesterone thing. I think it can be beneficial to those with low progesterone. I don't believe it can save a fetus if there's a real issue but if your having problems in the beginning with low progesterone it can help. I'm not going to argue with him though. I think most doc's/RE feel the same way.

Thank you . They did a hormone check on me Friday and everything was normal. My next test is insulin and I have to get the HSG. I don't mind b/w. I just can't stand these invasive procedures .

I am glad your RE appt went well.

I am interested in what you find out about delayed O. I also ovulate very late in my cycle, cd18 to be exact, even with HCG triggers.

Good luck with your HSG. I just had one. I could think of a lot of things I would rather do. :gl

Yeah...I am so happy. Finally some progress and at least some direction too. I know that the Lord is taking care of you Misty.
