Prayer for Colleen
Dear Father,
I bow my head before You today and say this prayer for our friend Colleen. Every day, Father, the stress that is around us and within us is strong and unyielding. We are only human and our strength sometimes fails us. But You are ever present to support us when we most think we may fail.
Today I ask that You place Your hands upon Colleen and allow Your power and love to surround her, to penetrate her. Touch her being and her soul, Father. And when she feels Your presence, allow her to recognize what it is. And bring her comfort. Allow her to realize just how much she is not alone right now. That You are with her, as are we.
Her fears are well founded Father, but I have no doubt that her sweet little one is safe. That You are holding this child personally, and comforting him and ensuring that he is safe and healthy. But a mother worries. So imbue her with the gift of comfort. Of reassurance. Of peace. Open her soul to recognize that this time, there will be no pain. That the only tears will be those of joy. And that her dearest dreams will be answered.
I humbly ask this in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
