What's your favorite T.V. show and why?
I love Malcolm in the Middle--the big crazy family reminds me of my own. And everytime I watch it I get to tell DH, "I hope we have 5 boys JUST LIKE THAT someday!" LOL
What's your favorite color?
blue, any shade, but most especially that deep velvety color the sky turns at night
What's something you would never do & why?
Start smoking. I've never smoked a single cigarette, not even as a teenager and I'm proud of that!
What made you think DH was the one for you? I think I've told this story on another board... When my baby brother (19 1/2 yrs age difference!) was only a couple of months old I asked Brett to hold him while I fixed my hair or something. I came back out and could hear Brett talking, so I just stood there and listened. He was going on and on, just making up the craziest story about how when Samuel was big enough they were going to go rabbit hunting but they wouldn't have any guns so they couldn't catch any rabbits so they'd have to stay in the woods and live in a tree house and I don't know what all. It was this huge elaborate story that didn't make any sense at all. And that is exactly when I knew I loved him, that he would be the kind of man to tell stories like that to a child.
What is your favorite recipe you like to make? I love to make cajun catfish, they're great for sandwiches too!
Can we have it ?
1 tbsp black pepper
1 tbsp dried oregano, crushed
2-3 tsp seasoned salt
2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper (orig. recipe called for 1 tsp but TOO HOT!)
3/4 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp ground cumin
4 skinned catfish fillets
Preheat oven to 350. Stir together ingredients, coat both sides of catfish. Arrange in lightly greased shallow baking pan and bake for 10 mins. Turn fish over and bake for 5-8 mins more or until fish flakes easily. Mixture can be stored for later and can also be used on pork (but I've never tried it).
Do you think TTC or planning a pg has helped you grow spiritually? Yes in the craziest way. Besides realizing that God has His own plan for me, He also has used this to teach DH and I about being better stewards financially! So right now we're getting rid of credit card debt and beginning to try to work together financially as a team.
