Default I need some unbiased opinions!!

Okay, so everyone in mine and my husband's family thinks this is ridiculous but we kind of like it...

we recently found out we are pregnant but we don't know the sex. If it is a girl we both really like the name Drew ( we love boys names for girls)....but there is just one problem, my husband's name is Drew--- is this just too horrible to do?

Don't worry about hurting our feelings and help is appreciated!

I love the name Drew, for a boy OR a girl. I wanted to name my son Andrew and call him Drew but dh just doesn't like the name.

The only thing I can see that could become a real issue is when she is older and you call "Drew", it may be hard for them to distinguish who you are speaking to. For that reason, I would probably use Drew as the middle name OR find a middle name that I really like and call her "Drew Ann" or whatever the name you choose.

However, I do love the name and think it's a very nice choice.

If it was a boy it would be called Drew Jnr, so why could it not be the same for a girl? Roll with it I say !!

I think If I was that girl, I might have a problem having the same name as my father. I like the name Drew for a girl, though. Maybe give her a "D" middle name, too. So if she wanted to she could be called "Deedee" which sounds more feminine and not the same as her dad.

I love it. I've always loved Drew Barryomore. It's great for a girl or a boy name! I think it's cute that it's your husband's name. It almost makes it even better.

i like the name drew for a girl, but I hate the concept of naming children after their fathers, or parents in general. I think kids deserve their own name personally.
