about 2 hours ago i got up to stretch & i felt a pop & then a gush of fluid & when i looked down my light grey pants were drenched in blood. michael rushed home from work & i called the doctor's office, who told me to come in ASAP, so the manager being the nice guy that he is gave us a ride to my doctor's office. i was FREAKING OUT, but all is ok.. Kiddo is FINE, THANK GOD!! & had a heart rate of 160bpm & was moving all around, which i could feel so that was a comfort, but i'm still really freaked out because they don't exactly know what caused the bleeding. So, tomorrow @ 2pm i have a sonogram scheduled ( this was the soonest appointment they could possibly set up ) & they're going to figure out if the cause is from one of several possibilities. But, the doctor is pretty sure that it was a polyp that burst, which is completely normal. But, we're the only concern i had was kiddo. Anyway... they want me on bedrest until they know what caused the bleeding, etc.
We're OK though!!!!

How terrifying that must have been. I am glad to hear that you are the baby are doing OK though. Take it easy, and I hope the sonogram tomorrow gives you some answers.

UPDATE....

the baby's still doing fabulously... heart rate of 150bpm & measuring 3 days behind, but that's fine; they're still leaving my EDD @ 1/10/08. the sonogram tech was stumped as to what caused the bleeding... everything is measuring fine. i'm supposed to call my OB after 12p tomorrow. the bleeding has almost ceased & i'm spotting, but it's turning brown which is a good sign that whatever burst has clotted. we just got back because the first part of the sonogram was diagnostic, michael wasn't allowed in. but, it was really busy so... she said that after the last two sonograms she did she said that she'd come get us & she'd show michael the baby & we'd get pictures... pretty cool
we got new pictures, i dunno when i'll get around to scanning them in since i'm on bed rest until further notice from the doctor. but, everything is fine!
we ALMOST got a shot of the kiddo's junk, but the smart *** sense of humor that it's inherited from both my & michael's side of the family it decided to LITERALLY grab it's cord & place it inbetween it's wide open legs... no i'm not making this up, michael & the tech were witness to this. it also takes after it's daddy & grampa throwing left hooked punches & blocking with a right hand. we saw it scratch it's left ear & it was possibly play with it's hair... which is what michael does when he's tired. lol!!
