Three. I don't really want to talk about the dd I lost unless it is relevant to the topic at hand, such as differences between first and second pregnancies, NOT if it is merely rubbing salt in old wounds or throwing a pity party for a stranger's entertainment.

I am 20 weks along with my first and lovin' it!
have you ever had any kind of medications? (ie inducing or pain)
No pitocin or pain meds.
have you ever had a medical condition that might prevent you from having an natural childbirth?
No.
have you taken any classes or read any books to help you on your natural childbirth journey?
I took a class with my 2nd (surviving) dd and enjoyed meeting other pregnant mommies (this was pre-internet) and learning more about birth, but did not use any breathing techniques that I practiced.
I can't remember all of the books about birth that I have read (my first dd would be 19) but my favourites from the big kids would probably be Spiritual Midwifery and Childbirth Without Fear, since those are the only ones still on my shelf that I didn't hand down or lend out and lose.
My favourite books so far with this pregnancy are Laura Shanley's book, The Power of Pleasureable Childbirth, and Chosing Waterbirth.
