Hello,
My name is Bethany and I am a mom of four, Kain, Gage, Aubriel and Brodric. I am not pregnant right now (that I know of) but would love to be. I had two natural hospital births and my last two were at home waterbirths. I thought I would post here first since I love to meet other moms that believe in the benefits of natural childbirth!

Hi Beth,

I'm on my first pregnancy, and am hoping to give birth naturally. My husband and I will start taking the "Bradley Method" class tomorrow. Any advice or experiences you'd like to share?

Bethany, you are in the right place. And although I had to have pitocin 3X etc I still had as near to natural births as possible. I would love to try a home birth if I have another baby - how did you find it?

Hi Bethany, I have had three midwife-assisted homebirths and am looking forward to my first UC which will hopefully be my first waterbirth as well.

Hi and welcome Bethany! I had my first natural hospital birth in Feb/07. What an amazing experience!

I'm hoping for a water birth next time although I think it'll still probably be in the hospital.

Share your birth stories with us if you get a chance. Things are so slow around this board. I think it's because we're such an elite group

hi, and welcome. I have had one totally medicated birth and I hated it. I really want to have my next one naturally, but I dont know if I will be able to given my current medical problems. wish me luck lol

Hi- I had 2 waterbirths (with a midwife in a hospital) and I hope to have my 4th baby in the water as well. I would love a home birth. I might just have an oops home birth- my last 2 boys came pretty fast! I was 8 cm dilated when I got to the hospital with both of them! next time I will just wait longer LOL. I always say that. But seriously, I would love a home birth but my dh has fears about it and didn't want me to do it. he is so traditional. I tried to get him to read the stats and how much more safe it is and how pregnancy is not a sickness so why should you go to the hospital? It is so germy there! There are so many good reasons to have a home birth...but I guess it is not in the cards for me. I could probably do a UC but it scares me a little lol. I have a friend online who had a surprise uc with her 3rd. Her mw was on the way but lived far away...they live in rural Minnesota I think. So she wasn't intending to have one, but her son, they named Gunner Lol because he shot out so fast...he just couldn't wait to get into the world. It was a beautiful birth story.

I LOVED my water births. I have back labor and it helped SO much and it instantly relaxed me. It was way better than my first birth- I had pitocin and nubain (narcotic for pain if you didn't know) and it was horrible. HORRIBLE. I will never use any of that if I can help it again! lol If I have my way, I'll have another awesome water birth. My 2nd labor was 4 hours and I had AIdan within an hour of getting to the hospital. I had Breylan 2 hours after. His was a 5 hr. labor. I am just lucky I think. My labors have been funny though- I don't think I am really in labor because I have really sporadic contrax...for alot of the day. And then all of a sudden it kicks in to high gear!

First timers- READ Birthing From Within- AWESOME book. It is by Pam England I think. If you search it on Amazon it comes up. I wish I had known about it with my first because I wanted a totally drug free birth. I did it without them with 2 and 3. Not even tylenol!
