Sounds like me.. I was 2 weeks past my due date, they tried to induce me for four days in various different ways, by the time I had the c section both baby and I were so exhausted. Oh, and he was also almost 10 lbs (9-13) and his arm got broken when they did finally get him out after having to recut me as he was so jammed in there.

Doc is recommending I schedule a c section for my new bean due in Early October. It's starting to look better and better as I will do anything not to go through the week of hell I did with my son. being sent home from the hospital day after day..ugh..

Placental issues and uterine issue.

I nearly had hysterectomies after my middle 2 deliveries. I hemorrhaged after dd#1 was born and had a transfusion; nearly had a transfusion after ds#2.

So to be safe I asked for a c-section for #4. If the placenta were to misbehave they would take everything out.

In the end it came out just fine, though we'll never know if it was 'normal' or if it was because they helped it. I did get confirmation of a uterine septum though probably why I had issues with the placentas.

I'm very happy with my decision.

I had a C-section because I have a heart condition for which L&D would be too much on me.

Started bleeding at 29 weeks, kept in hospital and given u/s. They found I had placenta praevia and my placenta was covering the cervix completely!! Kept in hospital and was scheduled for a c-section. Woke up one morning at 35 weeks to find blood all over bed, so rushed to surgery and had emergency c-section under general!! phew!!

With the first I never showed any signs of progression. A section was decided on for that plus the babies heartrate was irregular. I had 2 previous m/c's so when they wanted to go ahead with a section I was fine with it. She had a SUA but was very healthy at birth. My second was scheduled due to already having a section the first time. I had good experiences with both of my sections.

Well, I have had three so far and will have my fourth - Lord willing - in Feb.

My 1st was because he was a double footling breech and I was fully dilated when I got to the hospital so they did an emergency C-section with extended cuts on both sides. So after that "they" said no more vaginal births.

My 2nd section was scheduled (though my son came 4 weeks early) because of section number one and the extended cut.

My 3rd was identicle to the 2nd a year later, but this time I had a dehiscence or partial rupture at the site of the scar.

My first was due mainly to failure to progress (after 30 hours of labor).

My following three were b/c of previous sections.

I have not had a CS but will with my next pregnancy due to a tramatic vaginal birth. After 50 hours of labor, my son's shoulder got stuck my pubic bone. He spent 7 days in the NICU and I was left with horrible, painful scarring. My OB said he would not want to chance that again, and I personally could not go through that again, so we will have a CS.

My C-section was because my doctor didn't give me any other choice. She was sick of sitting around waiting for me to dialate.

My section was due to fetal distress from placental problems. Come to find out there was a fibroid behind the placenta and that would explain the bleeding I had at 10 weeks.
