Most doctors recommend spacing c/s at least 18 months and some even say 24 months, especially if you want to try for a VBAC. So you would start TTC around a year after your first c/s.

That being said I got pregnant with my second 7.5 months after my first was born. We were going to wait until our first was a year old and start trying for number 2, but we were very blessed with our little surprise. I had no problems with my second pregnancy because of my first unplanned c/s. I had already decided after the birth of my first that all subsequent births would be planned c/s because my first was huge and I figured subsequent babies would be too. Alvin was over 11 lbs and his head 15 inches (the reason for my unplanned c/s, just could not push him out). I knew I made the right decision when Leanne was born and she was over 10 lbs and her head 15-1/4 inches!

Remember since you just gave birth a little over 2 months ago and you are breastfeeding, your AF will be out of whack and it might not even come because of the breastfeeding. I would say wait until 14 DPO and use an HPT and if negative, go have a blood test done just to be sure. My sister got pregnant with her second while on the pill and she missed her October period and got a BFN. Then when her November period was missed she tested again and got a BFP. She went on to deliver a happy, healthy baby girl last June!

Good luck and keep us updated! Your little girl is adorable!

I am a bit of a POAS addict myself, LOL! Well, hopefully you will get a little more time before you get preggo again :-) I do love that my two are so close in age (16 months apart)!

Sounds like she wanted to arrive on her own time and not have anybody tell her when it was time, LOL! I went in labor 5.5 days before my due date with Alvin and after 36 hours of labor and 2 hours of pushing I had an unplanned c/s. It was so much nicer with Leanne, much more relaxed. I wasn't in labor, though I was contracting I just didn't know it, LOL. I had her at 39 weeks.

they told me she was due feb 20 at my first 2 visits...but her BIG u/s said the 12...my lmp said the 5th and my o' date said the 17 lol

the doc said to expect a baby barely 6lbs on feb 12....she was 7lbs 3 oz on the 5th! so i think she was spot on her edd going by lmp....but according to my doc she was born at 37 weeks

Oh, wow doesn't sound like anybody could make up their minds, LOL! I would agree with you, it sounds like your EDD went with your LMP.

Everyone heals differently, but my cousin's wife had 3 c/s in 3 years. She went on to have 2 more children after that and they were a little over a year in between. She never had any issues with any of her pregnancies or her health.

Good luck!
