Default VBAC after two sections?

Hello everyone!

I'm new, at least to this board. The idea of natural birth was always ideal for me. With my first pregnancy however, they tried to induce me early, as I was spilling a bit of protein into my urine and my blood pressure was slightly elevated. After 36 hours of failed labor, I had a c-section.

I tried for a VBAC the next time as well, but after twelve hours of labor, I was informed by the military hospital I delivered at, that my 'time was up' for a natural birth. I was again given a c-section.

Thinking back, there really was no reason for the second section. I was dilated to 5, having good labor, they just had a strange time limit (one that I felt was too short). I would really love to have a vaginal birth. My husband and I want more children, and having another section scares me. You can only have so many.

What do you ladies think, based on your experiences? This is something I've been discussing with my doctor, but I wanted to get a BTDT perspective.
