Hi Evie & Alex. Alex, I'm really sorry no one replied to your post before now. How are you doing? If there's anything specifically you want to know, please start a thread about it.

It sounds like you both had situations where a c-section was the best option & they're unlikely to repeat, which makes you great candidates for VBAC.

Hi all.. it is good to have a place to talk about VBAc with out being asked.."why"...well my name is Sherita and I have two children. I had my son by c-section because he would not move( head was to big-dad side of family..lol). My daughter I was hoping for a VBAC but daddie was to be deployed and the date moved so I wanted him to be here for the birth since he missed our son's birth. Well come to find out she was smaller than her brother and would have actually fit. I have been doing a lot of reading on the web, books, and making phone calls to try to find out who oulw do a VBAC on a women who has had 2 c-sections. I am hopeful though I have read stories of women who have had 2 or even 3 and go on to have a VBAC..so I feel it can be done if you find the right doctor or midwife. We are going to start trying next year sometime after my husband return...s....

but I look forward to chatting with you guys and to hear feed back if you have heard of anyone who has had a VBAC after 2 c-sections?

Hi Sherita and

If there's anything in particular you'd like to talk about, feel free to start a new thread.

None of our members on this board have have a VBA2C, but we've only had 2 women who were interested. However, there's a massive email list for www.ican-online.org that has many women who've had not only VBA2C, but also VBA3C, VBA4C, and even VBA5C.

Hi,

I'm from Central NY and have two boys ages 13 and 15. Great ages right? The two are so different it makes it very interesting. They both see the world through very different eyes. One is very mechanical and wants to be an engineer and the other is very artistic. I thought I might pick up some pointers about raising teens here. I live on a small hobby farm with my husband and fiber animals. I spin and knit their wool.

Hi, I'm Jennifer. I'm expecting #2 in early June. My son was delivered via cesarean after 35 hours of rather unproductive labor. Unlike many moms who have a c-section, I was not pressured into the operation. At about 25-28 hours of labor, I asked the medical staff whether I should start thinking about a c-section and their response was to wait and see how things progressed. I did elect to have an epidural once I was determined to be in active labor (though I wonder how active it was since I didn't progress beyond 4cm!), and the medical staff tried to increase the intensity of the contractions with pitocin 3 different times. My son apparently disliked pitocin. All in all, I don't feel bad about having a c-section.

That being said, I would like to go into labor on my own and have a fair shot at giving birth vaginally. My OB is supportive of this, so we'll see how it goes.
