Hi there,
I was checking out the board also! I had a c-section 7 yrs ago with my twin boys because baby b aka Kristopher was breech. I would REALLY like to do a Vbac this time and hope that is a possibility!! Have you had a Vbac?

Yeah, I actually had a UBAC (unassisted birth after cesarean). I hosted this board for a few years, but got dropped for some reason. It's been really quiet here ever since.

I don't see why you couldn't have a vbac this time around, you just need to be very careful to find a supportive caregiver, one that's not going to put a bunch of restrictions on you or suddenly change their stripes near the end of the pregnancy and come up with lame reasons you can't have one (& most of the so called reasons they give are incredibly lame and totally contrary to the science).

I haven't kept up on a lot of the research since ds2 was born, but I'm sure I can find info if you need any. & to the board

I have had two successful vbacs, working on my 3rd. With my first vbac which was 6 yrs or so after my emerg c-section, the OB called for an u/s on my lining to determine the thickness. That along with the scar (vert is usually no go) are really what matters. The whole debate with vbac is if your scar opens up. Mine was plenty thick enough and I recommend VBAC to everyone. Def beats 6 weeks recovery time. With my last two I was up and going strong within a day or two. The stitches healed quick and my bleeding was 2 wks the first time, and 1 wk the second. With my oldest, I bled for almost 7 weeks. Seemed to take forever to heal. Okay, I am a bit of a vbac fanatic. LOL But seriously, it may hurt a bit more in the beginning to actually deliver, but is SO worth it in the recovery. Esp with other kids to run after.

Yeepers! Can't believe I never took the time to post my successful VBAC story in June 2007. The time is FLYING by. I had such a wonderful experience with my VBAC. It was a real dream come true for me! This board had so many success stories and it really helped me keep a positive outlook. Thanks ladies!

Hello, I'm here too, but this board is so slow, that I don't come on very often.

I got dropped as host too, lol, I guess we just weren't busy enough. I've had 2 VBACs since my c/s, including an induced one. My VBACs were SO much better than my c/s, the recovery and just everything was easier, though pushing out that last one took some work, lol.
