Update on my girls

They are 34 weeks today and doing so well. Both girls came off CPAP at 16 hours of age. They lost their IV's a few days later. They did 3 days of bili-lights and now their bili levels are great. They're both taking 30cc per feeding (half breastmilk and half formula) at 24cal/kg. Keira weighs 3lbs. 12oz. and Carly weighs 3lbs. 10 1/4oz.

We tried nippling last week and they both lost weight so it was deferred until this Thursday. We received some great news today. Both girls have been transferred to Graduate Nursery. They had the order to do so last week but it's a numbers game as far as babies to nurses.

Scott and I were able to give them a swaddle bath yesterday and it was the best thing ever. I have pictures and hope to post a few of them soon. Both girls did beautifully. We're not having any brady issues or O2 sat issues, which is just unbelievable. I'm so proud of my little girls.

We were told to expect them to come home around Aug. 1st.

That is great to hear that they are doing so well, I can't wait to see the pictures.

What are the doctors looking for before the girls can come home, is it just the weight?

Great news! My 32 weekers spent 4 weeks in the NICU before coming home. They were nippling great by 34 weeks and breastfeeding well by 39 weeks. You've got a lot of great milestones behind you and more good ones to come! Congrats

That's great news! I can't wait to see pics! It will be awesome to have them home home Aug 1st!

Ok, here are the pictures. Of course, they only of Keira because we were braindead and forgot our camera for Carly's bath. Ooops! Next time!!

Aww, you have such beautiful girls. I'm so happy they are doing so well. 8/1 is not too far away, that is so exciting!
