I was on 50mg of clomid and twins don't run in my family. It was a total shock! LOL!

I also wasn't planning my pregnancy (although it wasn't unwelcome). We didn't have any kind of fertility treatment or medical intervention. And it never ever crossed my mind that I'd ever have twins!

I wouldn't say twins run in our families as a general rule, but just last week, my maternal grandmother told me that her Great Aunt Hess (would've been alive during the Civil War) had two sets of twins - one fraternal boy/girl set and one identical girls set. Otherwise I have no other info on twins in my family.

We were planning on getting pregnant but didnt use fertility drugs and didnt expect twins. We have a few sets of twins on my mothers side but it was a total surprise. Good luck in your ttc!! Lots of baby dust to you!

I'll start on 50 mg Clomid in August d/t PCOS. I was told of the increased chance of multiples. In addition I'll be 33 when we start ttc our 3rd, twins run on mom's side (my great grandma was a twin so it skips a generation which means it's in mine) and this will be our 3rd child. Not to mention all the twin boy dreams I've been having. Funny story..I went to the dr a couple weks ago to discuss the plan and when I got home I checked my email and the only thing I had was an invitation to join Twins magazine. What the??? Was this a sign or something? I sure hope so.

and think... Jon & Kate Gosselin (Jon & Kate + 8) had BOTH their sets of multiples on Clomid!

I got mine thru injectibles + IUI... I also have twin brothers, but they are identical, which has no bearing on them running in the family... I wasn't as lucky as my mom, I had to pay a lotta $$ for mine! lol...

Both my sets of twins where conceived without using any fertility treatment. They don't run in my family either so it was a big shock both times.

hello all, this is my first time postin but here I go.... I'm 23 and i have a 5 year old daughter, well for the past five years I have been trying to have another baby. But no Luck!! Now I'm really really trying. So I have been thinking about taking clomid to help my chances. It would be great to have twins.
I had pre cancerous cells taken off my cervex after i had my daughter and I'm wondering, " is that why I can't have anymore babies, because my cervex my have scar tissue on it blocking the sperms. I have a regular period every month about around the same time. I need help!!! I have an appointment set up so i can get some real answers but until then can someone help?
