looking for a cycle buddy - part 4!
Hi everyone,
Had to start another thread as part 3 has now been closed.
Ok, so I could'nt wait any longer and tested. It was a I guess it is just a matter of time now until shows up. I hope she comes soon, get it over and done with and also my cycle will not be the usual 28 days - what is going on?
Anyway, just surprised DH at his work. I went to the reception and asked them to call him. He could'nt believe I was there with a card, bouquet of flowers and a soft toy lovebug (I thought that it would be a good little mascot for his new car!). Am still awaiting my surprise!
Anyway, just had to pop in and let you all know!
Speak to you all later!
love,

Re: looking for a cycle buddy - part 4!
kelly--how cute! what did dh say? I slipped dh's gift bag into the bathroom this morning so he found it when he went to get in the shower. did all of the ideas except the underwear idea...i couldn't get away w/that! jima, how are you feeling? kelly, are you still having morning sickness? In a way, i don't think that this will be my cycle to get pg. ovt sat & was bfp,bd that night, but dh isn't feeling too well .so since last night we've had to skip the bd marathon....so, unless dh's boys are super heroes, i think that my sneaky little egg will dodge them again.

Re: looking for a cycle buddy - part 4!
Hi everyone,
Just checking in before DH and I go out to the restaurant. When DH got home from work, he gave me a lovely card and the film Love Actually on DVD. Have any of you seen it? DH and I went to see it at the cinema when it first came out, it is a great film!
Kelly, it's nice to have you back with us, lovely idea you did for DH.
What has everyone got from their DH's today? I bet you have all been spoilt rotten and that's why the board is so quiet.
Alana - hope you are not working too hard, you poor thing!!
Speak to you all later,
love,
Tamarin. xxxx

Re: looking for a cycle buddy - part 4!
I survived V-Day 2005. If I never make another dozen red roses, I will die a happy girl. I have decided that I hate people. hehe.
I just got home, sat down at the computer and opened a beer....ahhhhh. DH isn't home yet, so I'm not sure what I got. He said he was only going to get me a card, but he always says that & he always gets me a gift. I don't really need or want anything, so if he did get me a gift I have NO idea what it would be. Hopefully he will be home soon. I really need him to rub my feet, they are THROBING! Ouch. My hands and fingers are soooooo disgusting!!! Just black and green and nasty. No matter how many times I wash them, they will not come clean. It's the chlorophyl from the stems. I'll have to cut my nails to get rid of the nastiness.
Well, I hope you ladies have a most wonderful Valentine's Day. As for me, I've got to get a shower. Then put on p.j.'s and just sit. I'll check back in later.

Re: looking for a cycle buddy - part 4!
Hi girls!
Blimey it was quiet last night!!!
DH and I had a lovely meal at the restaurant, but unfortunately, it was really slow service and I didn't get a rose like stated in their advertisement. DH asked about it and the waitress said that they ordered 40 roses and only 21 were delivered!(Should have got Alana to send a few more over!!!!). In our opinion we should not have had to ask for it, we should have been told at the beginning. Anyway, to cut a long story short, we spoke to the manager and he knocked 10% off our bill and we could have a free drink (but as I was driving, I opted for a hot chocolate!).
I am up so early this morning, DH has just gone to work as he is on early shift this week (6am start) and I can't seem to get back to sleep, I guess am excited about going away today and I still have lots to do!!
AF still hasn't showed up, I bet she is waiting until I go away - just my luck!!
Alana - your poor hands! Have you tried using a body scrub to help get the stains off your fingers? If you suffer from really dry hands, the Body Shop do a range of good products to help, one of the best is the Hemp Hand Protector.
Kelly - what a lovely idea from all your work colleagues, giving you valentine gifts. I don't know anyone who does that over here.
Debra - good luck with the 2ww!
Will check in on Thursday, when I get back from the spa break. It will probably take me a day to read all your posts by then, you might even be on part 5 of the thread!!!!
Hope you all have a good few days.
Take care,
love,

Re: looking for a cycle buddy - part 4!
have a good time tamarin.alana-- one thing that might also help your hands would be 100% lanolin..we've used it and it works. it feels a little strange, b/c its thick and it smells like bandaids, but other than that, it'll sooth your sore hands. just learned that my granny isn't doing too good. she had bladder surgery about 2 wks ago..went home & was on the mend...then about a wk later she started to feel weak & nauseated. my uncle took her to the er and she threw a fit (didn't want to stay there) & made david take her back home. she didn't get any better and was unable to keep anything down since wed of last wk (i was told this yesterday). so david took her back to the hospital and they transfered her to a more technical hospital for extensive testing....they think that its cancer, but won't know for sure until the results come back. this woman is a very tough bird. she's had a very rough life, but has the very dignity of a queen...this lady doesn't take bs from anyone, and at 79..i wouldn't even mess w/ her( we're too much alike)....she's a mountain woman(from w.va.), so i guess that explains it pretty much. i love her very much and i pray that its not what the dr.'s think it is.

Re: looking for a cycle buddy - part 4!
forgot to mention a brighter note--- 2 more of our does had babies. 1 litter is 3/4 mini rex and i'm hoping that they'll all have the velvet fur and the other litter is 1/2 dwarf. when we bring the does inside to feed their babies, lindsey tries to help. she is so funny....she calls them "piggies".jen--you asked if i had pictures---i don't have any recent ones, but as soon as i do, i'll post them. i would say that the mini rex has got to be my favorite breed, but we also have californian, dwarf hotot & a few mixed breeds.

Re: looking for a cycle buddy - part 4!
Debra-I'm so sorry to hear about your grandmother. I hope she will be okay. My grandma is stubborn too...never wants to got to the dr.
I managed to get my hands clean. I used a salt scrub. Burned like crazy, but they look better, hehe.
Tamarin-have fun on your spa break!!! I'm soooo jealous!

Re: looking for a cycle buddy - part 4!
Hey Ladies,
Hope everyone had a great V-day! I guess since we spent the weekend away, the best my husban could do last night was Sonic! that is okay though, it was really yummy. That has been my biggest thing so far, is that I feel like I am starving all the time, my stomach feels like it is eating itself.
I am still floating on cloud nine! I just can't really believe it finally happened!!! I also found out yesterday that one of my best friends is pregnant and we are due about four days apart, so we are excited to get to do through all of this at the same time! However, she has been really sick with m/s and throwing up and all!
Dh has the flu so I need to check on him, be back later!

Re: looking for a cycle buddy - part 4!
Kelly-It was quite last night. But I wasn't getting my groove on. I was sleeping like a log. Are your floors done? I LOVE wood floors. When we build, I definatley want them.
Babyrush-That's really cool that your friend is pg too. I've always wanted a friend to be pg with. Sorry to hear that DH is sick. Hope he gets well soon.
Everyone else-Where's Angie? I wonder if she had to move into a hotel for a few days. Poor thing....moving sucks!!! Tamarin is probably getting a massage, lucky girl! I cleaned my house ALL day! I'm still doing laundry. I got behind b/c of work last week. I almost broke down and called a maid service today. Somehow I managed to get everything done. Our house was a MESS!!!
I'll check backin later.

Re: looking for a cycle buddy - part 4!
jima--that's fantastic that you have a pg buddy and you're both so close w/ your due date.alana--have an update on granny--she's not any better and the dr.s' have tried 4 different types of fluids w/ her to replace what she's lost b/c of the nausea. so far, nothing has worked--the test results haven't come back yet, either. glad to hear that you got all of that mess off of your hands...i can imagine just how raw they feel...ouch. there's not too much going on at my end today..did alot of boring stuff today...i finished "petting" my yarn...as dh calls it. i finally got all of that yarn that i bought on fri. sorted out. I have 3 more quilts to recover, then i'll attack the yarn and start making stuff...what can i say...right now, i live a boring life and i need something to keep me busy during this 2ww. hehehehe. where is jen & angie?hi kelly.

Re: looking for a cycle buddy - part 4!
Hey girls,
Sounds like everyone had a wonderful Valentines Day! I did too :0) I just love getting presents and flowers!
Congratulations to you and your girlfriend Babyrush! That's going to be so fun for you guys to have the experience together. I would love to get pg with my close friend! She just lives so far away. hehe. But that's what the internet and email are for right?
Well, af should have been here on Sunday and she's still a no show. My cycles have always shown up like clock work. Every since I've been ttc, they've gotten so jacked up. I tested this morning and there is still no sign of a second line. My stomach is still cramping like af will be here any minute though. I wish that it had come on Sunday, at least it would be almost over by now

Re: looking for a cycle buddy - part 4!
Jen-Sorry still hasn't shown. What a pain! I know you are eager to start a new cycle and have another chance. She FINALLY left my house today. It's funny, my cycles were always like clock work too (granted I was on the pill), now that I'm TTC, they have all been different. 1st cycle: 28 days, 2nd cycle: 24 days, 3rd cycle: 26 days. I guess it's trying to get normal.
Too bad my next O day is the 26th... the day DH goes to the strip club for the bachlor party. I'm soooooo sure I'll feel like BDing after that! HA! Might as well just move on to cycle #5. Damn those skinny naked people .
Anyway, has anyone seen the movie, The Notebook? DH and I watched it the other night. I really liked it....I cried. boo-hoo. It was good.
Debra-I hope you get some good news soon about your granny. I will say a prayer for her tonight. Hopefully the dr.'s can figure something out. I know it's scarey....hang in there. I saw a lady on t.v. today that has you beat........ yup, 14 kids and one on the way!! Her poor uterus!! Ouch!

Re: looking for a cycle buddy - part 4!
hehehe--alana---i'm not in a race I know a few families back in wisconsin that had a bunch of kids--the parents now are elderly, but 1 family had 20, another had 18. after #2 was born, i had this weird dream--i would have 5 children if i controlled it & 13 if I didn't...oh to be sooo blessed. & my uterus doesn't feel any different than it did before i had kids I still have some good childbearing years left and I plan on making the most of them. hopefully i'll be lucky to have twins. thank you so much for your prayers for my granny...she's such a tough lady...that's what has kept her going for so long --that and her steadfast faith.jen--wish that af would make up her mind so you can get it over with...i don't know what is worse....having her show up or waiting for her to stop playing around. i hope that we hear from angie soon. Hi jima, kelly---where are you???I haven't picked on you for awhile. how is the morning sickness? the one thing that i've always hated about it is that you're so sick that you feel hungry and then when you eat, it'll go away for awhile, then it's back again. it won't last too much longer, hopefully.
