Icon6 Cycle Buddies - Part 19

Hi Everyone...

This hip & butt pain is killing me again! I have to remember to get plenty of Calcium before I go to bed or I'm going to be in a lot of pain!

Alana ~

The nursery looks great! It looks like you have everything done already! Great job.

Michele ~

You do look a little swollen. Hopefully you're keeping your feet up as much as possible & aren't too uncomfortable.

Beautiful paintings!

Tamarin ~

You looked great in that last picture you posted. Seeing that little newborn baby must have really gotten you two excited!

Angie ~

You're also looking great from that last picture I saw of you!

**************************

I saw the picture of Kelly's baby. She's so cute! I hope we will see even more pictures soon.

Well I will probably come back a little later today with a belly picture. I'm feeling so HUGE! I feel like this baby is humongous in there! Sometimes I just feel like his body is so big... & it's painful!

Kelly - your daughter Violet is beautiful! You must post some more pics on our board when you get a chance!

Alana - don't get to hung up about 10 kicks an hour. I have never been told that or been given a chart to record number of kicks. As long as you feel the baby moving fairly regularly each day, I am sure that everything is fine. Hope this puts your mind at rest.

Cookie - I am feeling very uncomfortable now too! I can feel the baby's head pressing down further into my pelvic area and it's little feet keep kicking me up under the ribs - ouch!!

Angie - Bonfire night is celebrated on Nov 5th every year when we remember the traitor Guy Fawkes who tried to blow up the houses of parliament in London in 1605 but the plan failed. Children make pretend models of Guy Fawkes and put him on a big bonfire to burn, a firework display is also held.

Had a nice sunday roast dinner today, then went for a walk and came home to re-pot our xmas tree! Will let you all know how my treatment goes tomorrow!
love,
Tamarin.xxx

Wow Tamarin-that's interesting! I'm going to see if I can find more details online and incorporate that into dd's studies this week. She'd get a kick out of the idea of children burniing replicas of the traitor.

Cookie- the good news is that all that discomfort means that baby is soon to be here! Yay!! I'm hoping that since I've been through childbirth before, I won't suffer as much w/the preceeding pain! Wishful thinking! lol

Hey guys! I hope that you all have had a great weekend.Mine was ok. Went shopping with some friends Sat. We had a good time.

I got the results from my Accu-gen test and they say (you all are not going to believe this)........

It's a boy!

So it looks like Noah Paul will be joining our family. DH said that we are not going to believe it until the u/s shows it though! I have not told DH yet. I just got the results. I had this feeling that it would be. All of the girls that have taken the test on the DIM site also got boy results.

Michele--What beautiful paintings! You do look a little swollen but great as always!

Alana--The nursery looks great and I like the plaques. I think you should hang them!

Tamarin & Cookie--Wow, you guys are getting so close! I can only imagine how anxious you two must be getting!

Angie--Right now we are about an hour and a half from the hospital and if we move it will be the about the same if I continue with the dr. I have. We are quite nervous about this!

Keep for dh's interview Tues. to go well. He is really down today.

I have to go finish school work! UGH!

Amanda-OMG! Are you kidding me? Another boy!!!! Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't blame you for wanting the u/s results to back it up though. I was the same way. Not much longer until your u/s!!! And I love the name you have picked by the way. VERY CUTE!

Cookie-I'm sorry to hear about your pain. I seem to be a little achy when I first get up in the mornings, but it gets better after I move around a bit. Thanks for the compliments on the nursery. I'm almost done. Still need a glider/rocking chair and a couple little things.

Tamarin-That is interesting...the kiddo's roasting ole Guy! LMAO! Thank you for the info on the kicks. It made me feel a lot better and I agree with you. Have fun at your treatment!

So...I just made my list of guests to invit to my baby shower and there are 31! YAY!! And that's without including my mom's family. I can't decide whether or not to invite them. They live kind of far and I don't want them to feel like they have to come, you know. Plus, one of my cousins is the BIGGEST redneck ever!!!! I know that sounds aweful, but it's true. I was embarrased at my own wedding b/c of it. LOL! You guys ever watch that show "My Name is Earl"? Well if you do, she reminds me of the character, Joy. She weighs like 85 pounds, has BLEACHED like white hair, several home-made (yes....home-made) tatoos, she cussses ALL THE TIME, dresses like a total slut, screams at her kids in public, and ....ugh, I could go on forever. Anyway, I know it sounds aweful, but I don't want her to embarass me. I'd really like to invite my aunts though, but I really can't do that w/o inviting her considering that my aunt is her mom! Hmm....will have to think about this and talk to my mom about it. Do any of you have relatives like this? Ever wonder how it's possible for you to be related to them? Am I just evil? LOL!

Tamarin, the tattoos hurt sooooo bad. But I would do it again if I had another ankle! I want a pamper mum day! I do get a massage monthly, but your day sounds better.

Alana, I need a pedicure too, I was thinking that the other day. Thanks for the link to Kelly's baby, what a cutie! About the cousin thing, thats a dilemma. I don't know what to say. And, thanks for mentioning the kick thing, since I read that, my baby has been kicking the crap out of me!

Angie, glad you had a good day with the girls.

Cookie, thanks for the compliments on my paintings!

Amanda, OMG another boy! Whats with this board? Congrats!

I just found out the other day that my sister is pregnant again. She had my niece in March and she is due either in May or June. Her cycles are all messed up so she isn't sure, she will have to get a dating u/s. She see's her doc on Wed and will have more details then.
If I already told you this, don't keep reading. Preggo brain you know.
I bought a fetal heart monitor thinggy way back when. Well, we can finally hear the heartbeat really strong now. We can even hear kicks when the baby kicks the speaker, and it does frequently! Well it has a spot for 2 sets of headphones so dh and I can listen together. Before bed now, we usually lay down together and listen for a while. It is so fun to do. A good way for us to connect to the baby together!
Well TTYL I guess!

Hi girls!
Had a great time at my mother-to-be treatment package today! I feel like a new woman! It was so relaxing and just what I needed. It was so funny when the therapist was massaging my bump, the baby wouldn't stop wriggling and kicking her hands!!

Amanda - Another boy! I can't believe this thread!! Have you decided when to tell your DH and how?

Michelle - what lovely bonding moments it's sounds like you and your DH are having with the baby already - precious! Congrats on the news that you are going to be an auntie again!

Alana - You will have a great time at your baby shower I am sure. I can't believe how many people you have to invite already!

Angie - let me know how your dd does with her project on bonfire night! Glad you found it interesting.

Hope everyone has had a good day!
love,
Tamarin.xxx

I can not believe that I too am having a boy (more than likely)! Well, first this was the place to be if you wanted to get preggo now I think it is the place to be if you want to have a BOY!!!! Wow!

Alana--I agree, I think that I might invite the cousin for the comedy. Oh my, she sounds quite entertaining! But at the same time, I understand about not wanting to be embarrassed!

Michele--I have a tattoo on my foot, so I know what you mean about pain! It hurt like crap! I also have one on my stomach, can't wait to see how that beauty stretches out!!! BTW--I got these before I became a youth minisiter's wife (He he!)

Tamarin--What a nice day you had! I am jealous! I think that I am getting something similar for Christmas from DH. He called the nurse at my dr's office to ask what was safe for me to have done and she let it slip! Oops! I am acting like I do not know and going to be surprised. I really do not know what treatments he is getting me or if he is for sure!

Angie--I may have missed this? What is dd doing with a bonfire? Sounds fun, I like bonfires.

DH goes tomorrow night for his interview! I am so nervous Get this, the elders at the chruch we are at, really do not want him to leave now and they are really kissing up to him! Oh well,we still want to leave!
Hope everyone has a great night, I am off to class!

okay...I'll be back to comment later...but I have a question for you guys....my mom/friend are throwing a shower for me and it is scheduled 2 wks before my due date...and I told them we can do it at my house- that way dh's family can go...or else his family would be about 2 hrs from the shower site ( my mom's ) and I'll be about 2hrs from my delivery hospital. Not to mention it's a drive that I'm going to have to sit through and I'll be achy by then..yada yada yada. You get the point. I'm midway between dh's family and my family and only 1/2 hr fr my hospital where I live. Am I being unreasonable to not want to be that far that close to my edd? I haven't said anything to them, but when they told me the date a few months ago...they asked where I preferred ( my house) and now they changed it. I feel selfish for whining, but dd did come early by over a week--and the 2nd baby usually is the same or sooner. Tell my your HONEST opinions. If I'm being a spoiled you know what - tell me...I need to hear it. Thanks guys!

I had a dr.'s appt. today and I gained 10 pounds this past month! That's 27 pounds already. UGH! And to top it off, they put me on a diabetes diet...ironicly NOT because of my weight gain, but b/c I failed the one hour test and the first draw of the 3 hour test. She said I will more than likely develope gestational diabetes as my pregnancy progresses. She hopes this diet will slow it down. It will also help me not to gain too much more weight. Let me tell you...this diet is aweful!!!!!! It's confusing too. I can have like NO sugar, except fruit. Here's what I'm having for dinner...3 oz. chicken baked, 1/2 cup steamed squash, 1/2 cup steamed carrots, 1/3 cup peas, one TINY little white potato, 1 1/4 cup strawberries and 1 TBSP sour cream. Interesting, eh? I am so depressed. I can't believe I am this fat. And I really don't want GD! UGH! Sorry for the rant but I needed to vent.

Angie - I don't think that you are being unreasonable wanting your baby shower at home.If that is where you want it, then I say put your foot down afterall it is your party! If you had it anywhere else then you wouldn't be able to relax and enjoy it in case you went into labour and that would be no fun. That is my opinion anyway!

Alana - I am so sorry to hear that you might have GD developing in this pg. The diet doesn't sound much fun, you poor thing. I wouldn't worry about how much weight you have put on so far, you can always work it off once baby is here!

Amanda - hope the interview goes well for your DH. What are the pictures of your tatoos?

Am up early this morning as DH's car would not start so had to drive him to work! Hopefully one of his work colleagues will bring him home later to save me going to pick him up as I want to go into town to finish my xmas shopping!
Speak to you all later,
love,
Tamarin.xxx

Angie--NO you are not being unreasonable. I agree with Alana, tell them dr. said not to travel that far! (If you asked him/her they probably would!)

Alana--I am sorry to hear about the diet thing! I hope that it does not develop into GD. I am not sure I could do it! I do not care for things like steamed squash! Ick! I'll be thinking of you!

Tamarin--The tattoos are of butterflies. The one on my foot is cool but honestly the one on my stomach is pretty well gay looking! I don't like it! Have fun christmas shopping! I love shopping! Don't get to do it often enough but I do have dh finished!

I will try to post 14 week pics today. I am not sure if I can take them myself the camera is weird. Made it to the 2nd trimester! Yeah!

Alana- sorry about the bad news..but at least the dr is trying to catch gd before it actually is gd. If you look around online there are tons of sites w/good recipes - low sugar..I know because there are 3 diabetics in my family...so they are always looking for new recipes.

Tamarin- did you say 'finish' your Christmas shopping? OMG- you are GOOD! lol I have barely finished getting dh's and dd's stocking stuffers...I haven't even thought of actual gifts yet..let alone the rest of my family! I better get a move on. Good thing you are almost done...your baby ticker is almost out of time!! Yay!! I can NOT wait to see your baby!

Amanda- well, sounds like they might be appreciating your dh a bit more, huh? I wonder if they have a feeling that he's looking around? Do ya think? I know something will come through for you guys- I just wonder what it is!! And it looks like you are past the worrying stage now...14 wks!!! Congratulations -that's a good milestone in a pg!

Hi Michelle, Cookie ( where are you? ) Jima, Noah !

I talked w/Debra and she's at about cd 16- she said her and dh have been since cd 11 and they are really hoping this is it! They've finished up w/a lot of their home projects and such. I hope this month is it for her!

Today I'm picking up baby's dresser. My mom is buying it for us- it's nude and dh is going to stain it to match the crib. Yay! I'll finally be able to put away the baby clothes that are sprawled out everywhere!
