Icon7 Cycle Buddies - Part 18

Hey ladies!

Alana ~

I'm SO sorry to hear about Erika! What a difficult thing for her to deal with. It's so strange how things can happen like this when people seem to be healthy. My prayers are with her. She is lucky to have you as a close friend.

Kelly ~

CONGRATULATIONS!!! How exciting! I can't wait to see the pictures of your little angel.

I hope everyone is having a great day! Thank you re: the belly pictures.

Hi girls!
The board has been quiet! DH and I went to the first part of our labour and childbirth workshop last night. It was really good, especially the bit where the midwife gave Neil pointers on the best areas to massage my back during contractions and then he had to practice!!! We also learnt breathing techniques, about signs of labour, contractions etc. Next week, we are going to learn about forcep/ventouse deliveries, c-sections,epidurals and the first few days with a new baby. I think it is good for Neil to meet other dads- to- be for support as well.
Hope everyone else is ok?
love,
Tamarin.xxx

Tamarin-How fun! We start our childbirth classes November 2nd. I'm really excited! So, are you feeling any better?

Well, I have EXCELLENT news! Erika doesn't have to have her lung removed. They thought it was a benign tumor, but when the pathology report came back, turns out it is a hematoma. So, they are just going to go in and cut it out. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't even begin to tell you girls how relieved I am for her. So, thank you so much for all of your thoughts and prayers....they worked!

November is going to be BABY MONTH for us! LOL! We have a childbirth class every Wed. night, then we have a 2 day infant CPR class, we have the maternity tour, I'm going for my 4D u/s on the 14th and I have a dr.'s appt that month too! Busy month! I'm going for my gluclose test and iron level check tomorrow at a blood lab. I'm just thrilled about that! j/k LOL!! We are going out to eat tomorrow b/c it's our anniversary. YAY! I can't believe it's been a year already. Goodness! We agreed not to buy each other gifts, so I hope he didn't get me anything, b/c I didn't get him a gift! LOL! I've got to go buy a card later though. We're going to the Melting Pot. I've only been there once and that was when I was like 10 years old. Hope it's good. I think we might go to a movie tonight. Not sure what we're going to see yet. Ill talk to you girls later!!!

Hi guys...

Alana- that is GREAT news!! I 've really been thinking about her this week...it's amazing how our lives can be flipped upside down ( and in this case- back again) in a heartbeat. It does look like your month is going to be extremely busy...and you know what that means...time is going to fly even faster! Woo hoo- Little "E" will be here in noooo time I'm still on dial up and it's making me nuts!! It turns out our motherboard AND hard drive are blown...so it's a whole new comp that we need

Cookie- you are almost to the finish line! Are you having a shower? How is the house? You, too, have a lot going on right now!

Tamarin- how nice- I need a back massage right now...my back has been achy for the last few days. I don't sleep very well anymore at all. How are you feeling? Have you still managed to keep the contractions at bey? It sure sounds like you are feeling well.

Jima- How is your little guy? You must be too busy in heaven to check in very often, but post pics when you can! I'm sure he looks different already. They grow so fast.

Michelle, Amanda, Kelly- hola amigas! Kelly - where are the pics?? I so can't wait to see little Violet. She must be an angel.

Dd and I have been still walking our butts off! I 've still managed to not gain any pounds yet! Which is a miracle for me. I started off so heavy that I've really been watching my exercise routine. Any plans for the weekend? We're supposed to be going to San Francisco to take my sil crabbing. She's still visiting us from Japan for a few weeks. Mmmmm...we love crab! ttyl

Hey girls! I have tried to post several times this week but for some reason it would not go through, so here's to tryin' again!

Kelly!!!! Congratulations! I can not wait to see pics of Violet!
Jima--How are you and little Noah doing?

This week has been unbelievably busy and stressful! I had one of my first major emotional moments Wed. night. I think it scared DH. I was stressed b/c of a midterm test that I was not prepared for and I just started screaming and crying it was awful!!!

Our job interview is this weekend.I that this goes well! We leave for Clarksville tomorrow afternoon and will be gone through Sunday night. Sat. night dh is taking me to Outback to sastify a cheese fry craving I have had for like 3 weeks! Yum! I am also craving fresh baked bread with lots of butter! (I know that is lots of fat and all but man I want some!)

Alana--I am so glad to hear that Erika is going to be ok! That is great news. Ooh, Melting Pot!! I love that restaurant!

Angie--I need to start walking! I am so tired right now and all! I am going to get started though. I admire you for your dedication to it!

Tamarin--How are you feeling? Sounds like things are getting better and you are feeling better!

Michele--Our resident RN, question for you (others feel free to comment too)
Flu shots? School is giving them next Thursday. I will be 12 and a half weeks. My dr. said it was ok, but my mom called the OB that I saw for 10 years and he said wait until the 2nd trimester. Since I teach I am terrified of getting sick b/c parents constantly send sick kids to school!

Well have a great weekend and hopefully i will have some good news when I return from DH's job interview!!!

Hey girls!

Kelly- Congratulations!!!! You are in for the most wonderful experience ever!

Alana- I am sorry to hear about your friend, but it sounds like it turned out better than you thought. Amazing what prayer can do, huh??

Being a mom is so great. I am just in awe of Noah every day. I am sooooo tired, but I iknow that in time that he will sleep better and I will get over it! He changes so quickly, and I am trying to enjoy every moment of it. Jsut yesterday he seemed like he saw and heard his teddy bear for the first time. i had him laying in the floor and I set the bear beside him. It says a prayer and plays music and he just watched and then he seemed as if he was actually swatting at it with his hand!!! It is hard for me to remember that even though he is almost 2 months old, that he is really actaully still not supposed to be here yet and that he will be a little behind developmentally for a while, however, he doesn't show signs of being behind yet. He can already pretty much hold his head up and move it from side to side all on his own which is right on for his age!!! We go back to the doctor this next week. He has to get his immunizations. i am not looking forward to that!! Poor baby. He has already been poked and prodded so much in the NICU that he might be used to it by now. He also has to take the synagis shot for RSV protection. I had never heard of it before, but they want all preemies to take it. Insurance will pay for preemies but I am not sure about full term babies. It is like a thousand dollars a shot. Anyway, it makes me feel much more at ease because preemies are at such a higher risk for RSV and I don;t want to go back to the hospital! HEre are a couple of pics of him recently!!!

Jima-OMG! He's so cute!! Thanks so much for posting the pictures! Hang in there...he'll start sleeping better soon.

Kelly-How's it going Mama? I know you must be so tired and so busy, but I'm dying to hear all about it and see her little pictures!!

Angie-Sorry about your computer. That sucks. Mine's down again and I'm having to use DH's laptop. Ugh. And I totaly hate you for STILL not gaining a SINGLE pound! How have you managed this? OMG!! I've gained 17. Then again, I'm not walking anywhere except to the fridge and back. LOL!! Good for you girl!!!! Just think how great your going to look after Tino comes!!

Amanda-Hey there! I was wondering where you went. Yumm...cheese fries. I'm such a fat cow! LOL!! Good luck w/the interview this weekend! I'll be waiting to here good news!! And by the way, I can't believe your almost 12 weeks already! Time is going by so fast.

Jima- I love the Noah pics...too cute!!!! I'm glad that he seems to be moving right along developmentally. It doesn't seem like he's going to be behind at all!!! About being tired...lol!!! I was tired the 1st 2 years...it seems that just as they start to sleep on a nicer schedule...they start to roll over ..and then crawl and then walk. Forget trying to take a breather then!! Once they are mobile, forgettaboutit! lol Just make sure you keep on doing what you are doing...soaking in every single second- I turned around and my daughter Adriana is now almost 12! ( waaaaaaaaaaa....I'm so emotional when I think about it!) By the time I look up again she'll be heading off for college...it happens that fast. Congrats again on the adorable little guy...man, I can NOT wait for mine!!

Alana- lol! Trust me ....I will still need to keep up the routine after baby is born...I am soooo ready to lose all this frickin' fat!! Honestly, I just drink tons of water, cook everything from fresh ingredients ( no fast food! ) and walk my @ss off! lol But like I told you before, even if you gain baby weight, it seems to come off really quickly after baby is born. I know you plan to jog afterwards, too...so I wouldn't even worry about it if I were you. You started off at a decent weight- wish I could say the same. AND get this- dh wants me to turn around and have another one right away!! OMG- he's crazy...I told him to give me a year to sleep on my stomach (lol) and THEN we can have the next. Now that he knows the clomid worked, I 'm in trouble!

Amanda- sorry about the hormonal fit! lol But...get used to it! Now you KNOW you are pregnant for sure Good luck this weekend..I hope it works out well for you guys and the potential job for dh.
