cycle buddies part 15!!
Here you go! Ugh!!
I'm off to see the dr at 10 am- hopefully I'll get an u/s this time, too. I'm sooo wanting to know what the baby is!!!
This week has been a bit busy- we cleared out most of my office from the baby room and so my comp was down for 2 days or so. My dd and dh had their last baseball game of the season so we threw a pizza party and gave out trophies tues night- they were undefeated!
Alana- the house looks beautiful! I can't believe you have an entire acre!!!! That's really great! I can already see the baby in his room! AAAaaah- it's sooooo exciting. The timing on your move is working out perfectly!!
Amanda- glad you are keeping a + attitude and removing stress...that's going to help a lot!
Tamarin- take it easy!! You worry me sometimes- doing so much. Just be sure not to overdo it! & post more nursery pics! I told dd about 'ice lollies'- and she thinks the word is cute, too.
Cookie- cool baby pics..I love the 3d views. How is all of your family? They must have be so excited to have you and baby back in the states.
Hi Michelle- glad you are back!! There's the pic I promised- I 'll take another in a week or two. Dd and I have been keeping up w/our 4 mile walks - I'm trying to make certain that the weight I gain will be ALL baby weight!
I'll be back and post after my appt....keep your fingers crossed that they do an u/s today!

Re: cycle buddies part 15!!
Hi girls!
Have just got back from my antenatal yoga class. It was really good today, as I got to meet some new mums that are due around the same time as me (one is due on the 28th nov and lives just up the road from my house and the other is due 3rd dec, day after me!).
Angie - great pic! I can't wait to check in later to see if we know the sex of your baby - another boy?!! to add to the board - maybe!! Thankyou for your concern about how much I am doing. I have never been one to take things easy, always on the go!!!
Alana - an acre of land! What a lovely time you will have in making it your own. I think it is great when children have a lot of outside space to play in. Do you live near others ie neighbours? It's just that the house from the view outside the baby's room window seemed a long way away?
Amanda - glad to hear that you are feeling less stressed.
Michelle - I have been using the breatheasy paint so not had fumes, and also made sure that I had the window open! Had a break from painting today, may do the room in the lemon colour tomorrow.
DH is off on a stag weekend this sat and Eva has gone on a weeks holiday in spain with her mum, stepdad and stepbrothers so I am off to stay with my friend Jo and we are going to visit our friend Claire who had a baby boy about a month ago now. She now has 2 boys! Have got a little present to take with me for the baby. It will be nice to catch up.
Speak to you all later, am off to have some tea before going to body shop training!
love,
Tamarin.xxx

Re: cycle buddies part 15!!
Angie-You look radiant! Your one of those pretty pg ladies...ggrrrrr. LOL! I look terrible! hehe. Just my skin really. At my next appt. I'm going to ask the dr. to give me something for it. I'm not used to having skin problems and it's really embarrasing! Congrats to your dd for being undefeated! WOW!!
Tamarin-Yes, we have lots of neighbors! The pic is from the baby's room which is on the back of the house and there is no one behind us, so it looks like we have NO neighbors from that veiw. That's great that you got to meet some pg ladies in your class. I wish I knew some here...no such luck! Maybe I'll meet some in my child class. I'm not sure when we'll be taking it, but sometime. Patrick has never been around any babies and I think the class would be good for him especially. It sounds like you are going to have a fun girls weekend! Take some pics if you can.
I'm waiting on my MIL to come by w/ some old newspapers so I can start packing. I got some great vase boxes from work today. I can't believe we're moving in 3 weeks! Crazy. Only 5 more weeks until my big u/s. I know that test said I'm having a boy, but I still need to see a penis. hehe. Can't see anything so far on DH's machine. I told him I thought it was b/c it's too small. Then I looked over and he was shooting me a bird! LOL!! I guess I offended him. LOL!!

Re: cycle buddies part 15!!
Hey girls! Try this, it's pretty neat.
http://pregnancyandbaby.com/read/articles/736.htm
Here's what it said about me.....
The day you deliver, outside will be breezy. Your baby will arrive in the afternoon.
After a labor lasting approximately 8 hours, your child, a boy, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 6 pounds, 7 ounces, and will be 19 inches long. This child will have light blue eyes and some very fine hair.
But there is more. I sense that you feel somewhat alone. Have faith; you are not alone.
I could live with these results!!

Re: cycle buddies part 15!!
lol- Thank you Alana- as I've been feeling far less than radiant as of late! lol I'll take every compliment I can get.
Here's what mine said! Trippy...
The day you deliver, outside will be windy. Your baby will arrive in wee hours of the morning .
After a labor lasting approximately 18 hours, your child, a girl, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 7 pounds, 9 ounces, and will be 17 inches long. This child will have dark brown eyes and be almost bald.
Oh yeah- almost forgot- dr appt went well....I have my u/s on 8/31! ( 3 loooong weeks). We got to hear the baby's heartbeat...and I got some medication for sinus troubles. ttyl

PS- it's trippy because dd was a girl and that was how big she was at birth.

Re: cycle buddies part 15!!
Hi girls,
This is what it said about me.
Madame Zaritska's reading
Madame Zaritska, our resident clairvoyant, wants to help you prepare for the arrival of your child. Here she does her best to predict certain aspects of your labor and birth experience.
What she senses for you
The day you deliver, outside will be sunny. Your baby will arrive at night.
After a labor lasting approximately 24 hours, your child, a boy, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 6 pounds, 2 ounces, and will be 21 inches long. This child will have light brown eyes and a little patch of brown hair.
But there is more. Although you may feel tired, your pregnancy will be over before you are truly ready to let go of having this precious baby you have all to yourself. I sense that you will look back and long for these days. I suggest doing something now to preserve some memories of this time. Many women enjoy making a belly cast? Perhaps you would be interested, too.Pregnancy & Baby
24 hours!! Oh my god!!! I agree that the baby will probably have dark eyes and hair because thats what DH and I both have!
Will get DH to take a 6 month belly pic of me today and I will post it later.
Angie - those 3 weeks are going to go by so slowly I bet as you are so desperate to know the sex of the baby - you poor thing!
Speak to you all later,
love,
Tamarin.xxx

Re: cycle buddies part 15!!
It IS weird b/c DH and I both have light blue eyes and fine hair, my mom was in labor with me for 8 hours and that gender test said I was having a boy. WEIRD!!!

Re: cycle buddies part 15!!
Thought that I would post the latest pics of the nursery progress. Have painted the first coat of yellow on the walls today, think that it might need a second coat. I am so pleased with the colour, it makes the room so bright and I am sure that the baby is going to love it! Ignore the mess in the middle of the room, we are going to remove that in due course!
Haven't had time for DH to take a 6 month belly pic of me yet, he was rushing to get to work today so I will get him to take one when he comes home tonight and then post it.
Alana - that is freaky about the predictions!!
Speak to you all later,
love,
Tamarin.xxx

Tamarin-Oh wow!! I love the color! That is such a beautiful shade of yellow. Your nursery is going to be so pretty when it's all finished. Great job!!
Somebody stop me....I made chocolate chip cookies and I've already eaten 4 of them! I can't help myself!

Re: cycle buddies part 15!!
Tamarin- great color! I love it- Our baby room was light blue when we moved in , so if it's a boy it'll stay , but if it's a girl then we have to paint, too.
Alana- Don't you know - I used to bake every week- but since the pregnancy- I've bought cookies, doughnuts, ice cream...and nothing sweet is appealing.! It's like my tastebuds have totally changed. That's a good thing, I guess..just so out of my norm
Dd and I just got back from our walk- it's already getting hot out here...she's going to my mom's for the weekend-so I'll have time to veg and work around the house uninterrupted. Any plans for the weekend?? TTyl

Re: cycle buddies part 15!!
Hi girls,
Here is my six month belly pic!. Excuse the fact that I am in my nightwear, but I had a nice relaxing bath after all that painting and couldn't be bothered to get dressed again for the evening! I think you will see a difference since the last belly pic I posted!
Alana and Angie - Glad that you both liked the nursery colour!
Will say bye for now,
love,
Tamarin.xxx

Tamarin ~
You look great! The baby's room is coming along nicely.
Angie ~
You look great too. It's hard to tell what size your belly is from the front. Are you showing much yet?
My family is great! Yes everyone's very excited.
Alana ~
I've done that Madame Zaritska's reading before & each time it gives me a different result..with me using all the same answers. It said once or twice before that I was having a boy & this time that I'm having a girl. Hmmm..She must be confused.
****************************
Sorry that I've still been away a lot ladies. There's so much construction going on here that I don't really get much time to stay up to date on line.
I hope everyone is doing great!

Re: cycle buddies part 15!!
Tamarin-Baby bump is growing!! What a cute pg belly. I have been busy packing and cleaning all day and a shower and pajamas sound great.
Cookie-How's all your construction/decorating the nursery coming along?
I found a dust ruffle and crib sheets that I like. I found it at Target of all places! I have been searching EVERYWHERE! I think I'll go get it tomorrow b/c it's a limited edition and I'm afraid they won't have it anymore by the time my shower rolls around. Are you girls going to use bumpers? I have heard that you are not supposed to b/c of the risk of suffocation and SIDS. Have any of you heard this? They also say not to use the quilt that comes w/ the bedding sets. I have decided not to use either b/c I'm afraid. So....I'm just getting the dust ruffle, fitted sheets and curtains. I will register for the rest of the nursery stuff. How many of you are having a baby shower?

Re: cycle buddies part 15!!
MEEeee! I'm having a baby shower! That was the very first thing my bestfriend said- oh yay, we get to throw a shower! Crazy , huh?! We love parties- any excuse will do! lol
Cookie- yes!! I'm definitely showing- but I've been able to lose a few more lbs(weighed in at the dr yesterday)- healthier eating and walking my @ss off is helping!! lol. I started off sooo super heavy that I 'm freaking out about my weight (better late than never, right?). I'll take a side view this weekend to show you guys. I know you've talked about it before, but what work are you having done?
Alana- any online pics of your bedding set? About the bumper, I haven't really looked into bumpers safety wise, but I did remove it and the comforter when dd was able to roll over...it just seemed to be the safe thing to do.

Re: cycle buddies part 15!!
Hey guys! How's it going?
Tamarin - Wow has your belly grown! It's cute! I love the colour of your nursery. It's very close to the colour of my DD's room. You looked so cozy in your pajamas!
Alana - Love the crib set. How's the packing coming along? Please don't overdo it.
Angie - You look great! I think you look gorgeous and happy, and I love that colour on you! I know what you mean about starting off the pregnancy heavier. I have done the same thing. I am 20 pounds heavier than I was when I got pregnant with DD. If I gain the same amount of weight this time, I'm in big trouble!
Cookie - Hey! How are you? Is your DH home yet? How's the construction coming along?
I rented a fetal doppler on Tuesday and I still haven't got it. I called the guy on Wednesday to make sure he got my order and he said I should have it by today. It's still not here. The reason I want one is so that I can reassure myself with the heartbeat until September 20, which is my first OB appointment. I was hoping to get a midwife before that but I still haven't heard anything from them either. I guess your not really pregnant around here until you're half way through the pregnancy. Kind of upsetting. Anyway, I just keep praying for the best. I'm pretty sure all will be well!

Re: cycle buddies part 15!!
Angie, girl you look GREAT! You have that pregnant glow that people talk about.
Tamarin, I hope you have a great weekend. And the nursery color is great! A very cheerful color. Girl, you look awesome! What a cute belly!
Alana, that baby thing is too weird! It was sooooo me. Here's what it said for me.....
The day you deliver, outside will be sunny. Your baby will arrive in the early evening.
After a labor lasting approximately 14 hours, your child, a girl, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 8 pounds, 9 ounces, and will be 17 inches long. This child will have dark brown eyes and be completely bald.
But there is more. I know you imagine your baby often. You wonder if your baby is safe and healthy. Why don't you go listen to a baby's heartbeat and think soothing thoughts about your own child.
Here's the weird things: I was about 8lbs 9oz when I was born. Russ is close to bald, and my hair is pretty thin, and I have said all along that our baby will be bald. Russ has dark brown eyes. We think it is a girl. And she is right, I imagine my baby all the time, and worry if the baby is safe and healthy, so I bought a baby monitor that I can listen to the heartbeat at home with. I haven't been able to hear it yet, because it is still too early. I am going to try again when I go to bed though!
Also Alana, the bedding you picked is really cute. I heard that about the bumper too, but I was told to put it around the crib under the mattress, like a bed skirt. Thats what I'm going to do. I didn't hear that about the quilt, but I think it's more for show anyway. I'm hoping to have a shower, but I'm not planning it, and I haven't heard anything. It's hard, because dh and I live about 2 hrs from our families and we don't get home to visit often.
Amanda, good luck with the doppler. You will have to let me know what it is like. I can't wait until my little machine picks up the heartbeat!
