Default Cycle Buddies-24

Hey girls! Had a visit from my MIL and Dh's grandma today. Elliot was actually awake for his company! My mom is on her way over now. Lots of visitors today. I called my dr.'s office to see if I could start running on the treadmill yet and they told me no, but I can start walking. In a couple weeks I can walk with an incline. I guess it is better to start off slow anyway. Well, just wanted to check in and say hi! Talk to you girls later.

Hey everyone!

Kela- Thanks for the link. There are some really cute shoes!!!

Well, we are headed to Vegas this weekend for a friends wedding at the Bellagio hotel! I am so excited but very nervous about leaving Noah for 4 days! What will I do with myself? He is staying with my mother so I am not worried, just really gonna miss him!!! He is just almost 6 months now! Time flies, I can't believe he is already that old! SO SAD!

I think we are really moving this time! We are supposed to close on our house next Thursday so I have finally started packing. I HATE MOVING! I am excited to get there, but wow this part sucks!!!!

Hi girls!
Just thought that I would check in briefly. Wasn't sure which thread to post on as both Michelle and Alana started a cycle buddy 24 thread!! I guessed this one, as most have you have started posting on it.
I got Natalia weighed today by the health visitor. She now weighs 12lbs 8oz. She has started to get slight eczema, so have to have oilatum in her bath and am going to get a special cream to rub on her body which should help clear it up.
She also had her special Bebax boots fitted by the physiotherapist today to help correct her telapeze which she has had since birth and is very common apparently. Her big toe muscles are so strong that they keep hooking her feet inwards,so these boots are adjusted to keep her feet completely straight. She has to wear them for a month at all times, apart from obviously nappy changes and bathtimes. Hopefully her feet will be straight after this time.It is best that the condition is corrected now rather than later.

Jima - have a lovely time in Las Vegas! Sounds like the house move is finally sorting itself out- hooray!

Kelly - cute shoes!

Alana - glad to hear that things are going well with you.

Michelle - so sorry to hear that you have mastitis, I bet that is very painful. It sounds like you are doing your very best to still give Braunwyn your breastmilk though, well done!

Angie - haven't heard from you in a while? I expect you are very busy with Tino?!! Hope you are ok?

Amanda - hi!

Before I go, thought that I would tell you what happened to my friends baby at the weekend. She moved into her new house and her partners parents came down to help with the move. Anyway, she put her baby in his bouncer chair which has a toy bar going across. Her partners dad went to carry him downstairs and thought that the toy bar was like a handle. Part way down the toy bar came off and her baby fell down 4 stairs. His nose was bleeding, he was hysterical and in shock. They called for an ambulance and he went to hospital to be checked over. He is fine, just got a cut on his nose. What an awful thing to happen though, I really felt sorry for them.

Will check in again soon,
love,
Tamarin.xxx

reposted from the thread I started...
On to another thread...

Amanda, only 10 more weeks! That is crazy!

Tamarin, I never told you, Natalia is getting so big! Those recent pics were so cute. And, I didn't do my siggy, I went to the graphics forum and had someone do it for me. Sorry to hear about your friends baby, glad he's ok.

Alana, I love the pic of Elliot in the chair!

Angie, where are you girl? How's Tino?

Kelly, cute link!

I can't believe a month has passed already. I miss her being so small, but I guess theres more fun to come yet.
Oh, I've got mastitis now, and my nipples are still cracked so I am not breast feeding any more. I'm on antibiotics and antibiotic ointment. I am just pumping and giving her breast milk and formula by bottle.
Trying to let my body heal.
Sucks, but you do what needs to be done.

Hi girls!

Kelly-Thanks for the link. Those really are cute shoes. I may have to try a pair for Elliot.

Jima-The Bellagio? AWESOME!! I am so jealous! My friend, Spring, stayed there when she went to Vegas a few months back. Good luck on closing on your house! I hope things work out for you guys this time.

Tamarin-How scarey about your friend's baby! I'm glad he is okay though. Hope that Natalia's skin clears up soon. I have to keep lotion on Elliot all the time or his skin get so dry.

Michele-Sorry about your bb's. OUCH!! Hope they get better soon. That's great that you are still pumping for her though.

Cookie, Amanda, Angie-HI!!!

I think Elliot has baby acne. Any of the other babies have this? It just looks like little red bumps on his forehead. Poor guy. From what I have read, there isn't anything you can do for it. Any advice?

Nope....nothing you can do for the baby acne. Violet never got it but from what I read on other threads all you can do is wash his face with just plain water If it's worth anything I used Eucerin Aquaphora wash on her face everyday and Aveeno non-scented lotion after that! Hope that Helps!!!

Michelle - sorry about your bbs Hope you feel better really soon because from what I read about it..........it really hurts

Jima - have fun at the Bellagio! I stayed there two years ago and LOVED it!!! GREAT HOTEL!!!

Tamarin- how scary about your friends baby!!!! glad to hear all is ok Amazing how fast they grow, huh??

Hi Cookie, Angie and Amanda!!! Hope you guys are having a great day!!

Alana- When Noah had the baby acne he also had cradle cap. The doctor told me there was nothing I could do for the baby acne, that it was just my hormones leaving his body. However, for the cradle cap in the NICU they used Selson Blue medicated and it worked wonders. I used it after we got home every now and then just to clear some up if I thought he was getting it again and I swear the bit I got on his forehead helped the baby acne in that area! You might try it. It won't hurt him.
