Sarah-please leave our thread alone. I really don't want to hear your opinion about circumcision anymore. I think you are a weird-o. Just b/c it may not be the right decision for you, doesn't make it wrong for everyone else. This is a positive thread that we have kept going for a long time. We come here to support each other and respect one anothers choices, whatever they may be. We are not psycho-extremists.
Love,
Alana glamorous and short

Angie-Have fun w/ your poker game.

Alana- I agree with you!

I don't mean to be rude, but Sarah, you weren't part of our group to begin with, not that we don't welcome newcomers, but we don't all want to hear your opinions! I had my son circumcised and I was the one who told alana that my doctor said the plastibell was a little less painful. If you are not a doctor then we don't want your opinion. Maybe it is not less painful, but it might help our minds and hearts to think so! People who are fixing to put their son through that don't need to hear or see it on video. I personally think that was rude!
Please leave our thread alone!
Cookie- Are you okay?? Maybe the little one is coming!

Angie- Your next!!!! I can't wait.

I hope you don't all think I am rude by writing what I wrote but I don't think we need negativity on our thread!

I agree w/you both. If we need any more opinions re: the circ decision..we know where to go.

Cookie - I sooooo hope you are having your little one!

Tamarin- I know you are busy, but we need updated pics...I'm sure Natalia looks different already.

Jima- more pics , too! Your little guy probably looks older already too!!

Michelle- I hope you are doing well..haven't heard from you in a few days.

Amanda- I finally looked at the links for the shirts...cute! Too bad I'm not a gator fan! ...but I can say this...We're big time 49er fans here and dh already has gear for ds! He even wanted to do his nursery w/niner colors...I had to argue that down!

Well..it looks like my extended family managed to pass on their sick germs to dh and dd...they are both sick I'm sooooo not trying to be sick right now!! I'm making them take vitamins...and stay the heck away from me! and OMG- last night I got contractions....they were 10 minutes apart ( about 3) and then down to 8 minutes....and then they started being more sporadic. We were playing the game LIFE w/dd ...and after about the 4th contraction...dd jumped up to change out of her jammies and back into clothes just in case. It was so funny! I was sooooo hoping that would be it...but it was trickery!! Maybe next time.

Hey girls! Almost Happy New Year!
I was totally getting tired of hearing her opinion too. We all give our opinions, good or bad, but softly. None of us are here to hurt anyones feelings, or push anyone into a decision, and that is what she was doing.

I don't remember if I told you or not that I set the date for my belly cast and preggo photo's. It is Jan 16th! I'm totally pumped.
Oh, and am I a total retard, or do I just not have a clue what contractions feel like?
Last night at work, I thought I was having some contractions, but then I started to think, maybe it was just the baby moving.
How do you tell the diference?

Cookie, hope your little bundle is on the way!

Michele-Sometimes it's hard for me to tell if I'm having a BH or if it's just him streching out. Usually though I tell b/c my stomach will get really tight all over if it's a contraction, not just in the area where is is stretching. Make any sense? I can't wait to see your pics and belly cast!! I am so jealous!!!!

Cookie-Are you having that baby?????

Michelle- January 16th? I hope you keep baby in until then! lol I'm aiming to evict his little behind by the 14th! I Know.....there I go being overly anxious again!
re: the contractions...the b/h contractions are just a tightening up..your tummy will feel hard and rigid ( for lack of a better word). It just feels like a really tight knot. ...as for the REAL DEAl....w/dd ...mine started of like cramping....(warning here goes tmi!)- abdominal cramping of the worst kind...like the biggest diarhea (sp) cramps you could imagine. It felt like my intestines were being put through a ringer...they last ~30 seconds to a minute or so...and then totally disappear until the next one. BUT- some ladies don't get them really bad,,,,I have a sil that only had mild lower back pain. The only reason she even went in to be checked is because my other sil timed the 'pains' and they were regular...by the time she got to the hospital and delivered - only 3 hours had passed since she first noticed the back ache...so everybody is different. hth

Well guys..looks like I'm off to get some NYquil for dh and dd...I've locked myself in my bedroom starting my tax return. I better get them started while I can ttyl

Alana--You go girl! Thanks for telling Sarah to get off of our thread. I read some of the things she said and it really pissed me off! Who does she think she is? Anyway, some people think that their opinions are so much better than everyone else, especially if they are on some kick that goes against the norm. KWIM? You hair looks great! I really need to get mine cut too, but I have not had time. I am going to try to PM you. Let me know if you get it!

Angie--Wow, only a few more days to go! I can only imagine how anxious you are getting! I hope that DH and DD get better soon!

Michelle-YOu are right there behind Angie! I can not wait to see the belly cast pics. I think they are neat!

Tamarin and Jima--Can't wait to see new pictures of Noah and Natalia!!!

I ordered some of my crib bedding yesterday. My mom was going to get it for my shower later but it was on sale so I went ahead. I am excited! She said I can not open it when it gets here though! UGH!

Happy New Year everyone!

Icon10 Brandon Michael JR has arrived!

Hello Ladies!

Guess where I've been?!

Brandon Michael JR was born on
12.30.05
@ 3:17 PM
. He weighed
8 pounds 1 ounce & was
21.5 inches long.

After a good size episiotomy & a vacuum to his head he finally made his way out! I narrowly escaped a c-section.

I'm going to come back in a little bit with more details but didn't want to leave you guys hanging without some info & pictures of course!

Here are his two hospital pictures! His head was still a little messed up. He had a realllllllly bad conehead when he came out. Poor guy!

When I come back I'll post some more pictures from the hospital & at home. We just got back home a little while ago...

Happy new year everyone!

Cookie! Your son looks gorgeous! Welcome to the world of being a mum! Hope your labour wasn't too bad

Alana - love your new haircut!

We have not had a very good start to the new year.First of all,we invited our friends with the baby (who was born 3 days after Natalia) around for new years eve.DH did lots of buffet food for us all and put it all on the dining room table.Anyway, whilst DH was showing them around our house upstairs and I was breastfeeding Natalia in the front room, a candle fire had begun on our dining room table. It burnt through the tablecloth my MIL made for us, candle wax was everywhere and the middle of our pine table is now black. If DH hadn't come downstairs when he did and put the fire out, it would have been a lot worse.I am just so glad that none of us were hurt.
To top it all off Natalia is now sick. She has a nasty cough and a blocked nose.DH and I took her to the doc yesterday, and he has prescribed some saline nose drops which we have to put up each nostril 3 times a day.It is very difficult as there is practically no medicine you can give 3 week old babies. Most medicines say from 3 month old babies onwards. I really hate seeing our daughter poorly, especially when you feel so helpless.
I hope that everyone else had a better start to the new year.Lots of you will have your new babies very soon,I just can't believe where the time has gone.
Will post more pics of Natalia very soon,I promise but at the moment am really busy as I am sure you will understand.
Speak to you all again soon,
love,
Tamarin.xxx

wow Tamarin- that was a close call! I'm so glad dh saw the fire when he did. That is so scary!

Sorry to hear Natalia has a cold. That is definitely the worst...when the baby is sick and there's not much to do for them. Dh is sick at my house ...so poor guy has been on the couch for 2 nights already. We're trying to make sure I don't catch anything from anybody. I can't wait to see more Natalia pics...but yep...like you said...we alll know how busy you are nowadays! ...and I still love the little pic w/the red stripe tights-

Cookie! What a doll. Look at all that hair! I can't wait to hear your labor story and see more pics.

Tamarin, good thing dh saw the fire when he did. Glad you are all ok! Sorry Natalia is sick.

Nope, sorry to disappoint you Angie, but I think I will go next!
I keep telling the baby that he/she can come any time now, we are ready. Trying the power of suggestion.
I bought my first nursing bra today and pads. Also a new suitcase so I can finally pack my hospital bag. The suitcase is so cute, it's blue hawaiian!
I think I am all set now. Finally!
Only 3 more shifts to work! Ya whoo!
TTYL!

Tamarin-Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry to hear about the fire. Thank goodness it wasn't any worse though. I'm sorry that Natalia is sick. I hope she gets better real soon. It must be aweful feeling so helpless. I am sure she's going to be just fine though.

Angie and Michele- I think Amanda will have her baby before me. LOL! I hope I go soon, but I just have a feeling that he's going to take the WHOLE 40 weeks. I used to think differently, but not anymore. DH is convinced he is coming in 2 weeks. LOL!

Michele-I also just bought a nursing bra and pads. How many pads are you packing in your bag? I have no idea how many to bring.

I had a dr.'s appt. this morning. All is well. I found out that my dr. doesn't check dialation/effacement until 39 weeks!!! UGH! I was really hoping to get checked at my next appt. to see if there was any progression. IF I have been having ctx they will though. Maybe I will start having ctx. LOL!

Well girls, post some baby pics when you get a chance. I can't believe how CUTE all of these babies are!!!

Alana- that's a bummer...I have an appt this wed.....I so hope my dr checks me. I'll make it a point to mention all of my ctxs! Although I have been having some here and there.

Dd and I just walked for about an hour...I'm sooooo trying to get this guy out of here. Eviction notice served!!! Now I think I'll go make some garlic bread...it's all I've been thinking about!

Alana, DH thinks I will go until they induce me, but I think I will go earlier. Maybe I just want to go earlier.
And, as far as nursing pads go, I packed 8. I figure I won't need that many, I will be there 48hrs if I deliver vaginally, and my milk won't have come in yet. But better to have too many than not enough.
And, my sister said to make sure that they are packaged seperately, so they don't get damp if in with anything else.

Oh, I just realized that I only see my doc 2 more times, then I will be induced!
I see her Jan 11, some time the next week, then the week after I will be induced! CRAZY!

Here's a pic of my fav X Mas gift. DH's mum had it made for the baby. It is all quilted. Cute eh?
