Default diabetes and actrapid

I’m facing a very serious problem….my dad is a patient of diabetes and since 2 weeks he is taking a medicine called actrapid. I have noticed that ever since he has started taking this medicine he seems to be lost….I mean that when I talk to him he seems to be absent…..he is not listening to and takes time to respond sometimes he does not respond at all. Sometimes I think that he is suffering from schizophrenia because I still remember that my dad has used this medicine before and he never had these problems….what is your opinion? Should I take him to a doctor or its one of old age sign?
