Hey girls. I'm new to this part of the forum but I've been a member for some time now. I *think* I had signed up to this forum when I first found out I was pregnant but ended up hospitalized on and off due to severe hypermesis. Anyways, I'm having a few issues.

I saw my ob gyn last week and she did a pelvic exam. She told me I was losing part of my mucus plug which I thought was happening anyway because I noticed some yellowish clear nasty stuff coming out of me on and off for a few weeks or so. Since the time I was 4dpo until this very day I still spot on and off. I've been contracting on and off as well. She then told me my cervix was "thinning". She told me I needed bedrest and no sex whatsoever, and if this continues she may have to stitch me up (a cerclage) or hospitalize me. She used the words "just be prepared for him to come early". My original due date was April 30th but I had a sonogram yesterday, a type 3 anatomy one, and it was confirmed that my due date is now April 15th, putting me at 27 weeks instead of 25. I'm confused because I know I didn't get pregnant July 25th 2011, that was when I had my last period. I even used OPKs to predict ovulation and I know I wasn't pregnant from the month before because I took an HPT and it was negative and then I got my period for July. August I ovulated and conceived. I found out in the end of August that I was pregnant. I was 6 weeks in the beginning of September so there is no way I conceived any earlier than August. So my question about that would be, how could I be due the 15th and not the 30th? How am I 27 weeks and not 25 weeks? Can an anatomy test tell you how big the baby is to the point of when he will be born? In other words, if the baby is a big baby, will that change the due date?

Sorry if that question is stupid or really really confusing. I'm just confused because this has never happened before. My due dates been changed maybe by a few days but that's it. Never 2 weeks.

My other question is, those who have an incompetent cervix that is thinning, what is the status on you? What does your doctor say? And if my son were to be born now what is the chance of survival rate? With my other son I had preterm contractions at 5 months but it was because I was severely dehydrated and kept on having recurring kidney infections. They gave me a shot to stop the contractions and I went to 37 weeks with no issues but then labor started up again and at 38 weeks I had my son. He came out perfectly fine. So because of my history with my son my ob gyn is watching me closely. I know this is a little different because my cervix is actually changing.

Basically I guess I am here to ask about my due date being changed by 2 weeks and also for some support. I've never gone through this before. This is my 5th pregnancy and will be my 4th child. I have a 5 yr old, a 3 yr old, I suffered a m/c and I have a 1 yr old and I am pregnant now. So I know my cervix must've gotten weak over time with all the kids I've had. Atleast that's what I'm told by doctors/nurses.
