about this pregnancy ... poll
When I got pg with Molly-Fae, we were playing with fire LOL Not "trying" but we certainly weren't preventing it from happening. I guess we both thought it would take a lot longer than it did!
How did it go for you?

Re: about this pregnancy ... poll
We had tried from 2000-2005, but the doc told us that it wouldn't happen without some of the more expensive and invasive procedures. We decided not to go that route since we already had two kids who were getting older.
So this was not prevented, because the doc said it couldn't happen, and it was definitely a surprise. I'm a bit worried about starting over so late as our other kids will be 13 & 15 and we also have a niece (18) who lives with us.
We were really getting to the point in our lives where we had a lot of financial freedom. The only thing we owe on is our house, and it would have been paid off in 8 more years. In the past couple of years we have been able to buy lots of "toys" that we could never afford when our kids were small. (One of them being the hot tub that I can't get into now! Grrrrrrrr)
This is going to set us back financially for awhile. It will probably take us 10-12 years to pay off the house now, and we will have to cut back on retirement contributions for a few years while we pay for daycare again. DH had to cancel his plans to buy a Roush Racing Mustang that he had been drooling over all summer...... but still, we are thrilled to be expecting again and in another dozen years or so, maybe we can get back to where we are now. LOL

Re: about this pregnancy ... poll
Well that is a funny question and here is my funny answer. My beautiful DD was conceived on the morning after pill. One hour after I had unprotected sex I went to the clinic and go the pills, $90.00 for four little pills and went home. I followed the instruction, take two now and the other two 12 hours later. That happened on Halloween, on the 20th of Nov I went to get my foot x-rayed due to a fall and took a pg test. It was +, I was shocked.
Fast forward to last Aug. I was on lupron depo to calm down my endo. I was told that if I EVER wanted to have more children to do so now. With this one some pills and several shoots in the tummy a couple of IUI's...TWINS. I am sooo happy.

Re: about this pregnancy ... poll
I went off the pill around april 2006,, we didn't want to try for a baby just then and I wanted to get my cycles back to normal. We had been using condoms.
January 2007 we bought our first home and after much discussion we agreed to start trying in February 2007.
I thought it would take a few months for me to get pregnant, imagine my surprise when on March 14 2007 the day my period was due (and had not arrived) I took a pregnancy test and it was positive. I went to the dr to get bloods just to confirm.
and well what do you know in approx 4-6 weeks I will be holding our new baby

Re: about this pregnancy ... poll
I was on the pill for 13 years without a break, until 2 weeks before our wedding in 2003. I came off the pill as friends told me it would probably take a while to fall pregnant. Ha! 4 weeks later, I took a pregnancy test and got a BFP!! 8 months later, my son was born. When he was 3 months pregnant, I was breastfeeding him exclusively, had not yet had a period, and DH and I DTD for the first time since his birth (I had had 14 stitches - ouch!). I went on the mini pill around this time also. 9 weeks later, found out I was pregnant! My DD was due the day before James's 1st birthday, but luckily held off 2 weeks and I was induced. To tell the truth, since James's birth was so traumatic for both him and I, I cried for 6 weeks upon finding out I was PG so soon after his birth. In the end though, Charlyse's birth was amazing!
So we were done with 2 - our little pigeon pair! Until September 2006 when we received the news that our perfect little boy had Duchennes Muscular Dystrophy and would most likely be in a wheelchair by 10 and dead by 20!! Our world was turned upside down and it has only been lately that I have finally come out of the haze that I existed in upon hearing the news. Our priorites changed and we decided there was more to life than being financially secure with 2 kids - we always knew we wanted more but kept looking at the financial statistics. Well, I don't know anyone personally who has starved to death, so we knew we could easily have another one. BEsides, we wanted to bank its cord blood to give my son a chance with stem cell treatment in a few years time.
We had fallen pregnant so easily, without trying, with our first two so we thought it would be just as easy this time. Boy, were we wrong! I have no trouble falling pregnant - my DH walks past me and I get pregnant! This time, however, I had trouble holding onto them. 4 miscarriages since November last year, and then I found out I was pregnant for a 5th time in June. I told myself this would be the last time - I couldn't go through the heartache again. I saw a homeopath/naturopath just before I got my BFP and she talked to me for 4 hours about the grief I have been holding inside. SHe put me on some homeopathic remedies and other vitamins and supplements. I started bleeding at 6 weeks, like with the previous 4, and she put me on some other remedies to ward off "avoidable" miscarriages. I am now 19 weeks pregnant with a perfect baby girl (had CVS and level II US - all perfect) and I am due in March. It has been a long road, but I am jsut desperate to meet our little Saraya and introduce her to her perfect brother and sister. All's good!

Re: about this pregnancy ... poll
I had to have help (clomid) with my twins. I went back on the pill for a few years and then had been off the pill for over 2 years when I got pregnant. We were in the just let's see what happens mode.
