Icon5 New Here with a question

I am new to the boards but a friend of mine told me about them said they were awsome so I am trying them out! I am 22 have a 4 year old girl I am married been almost 5 yrs now. We have been ttc number 2 for about a year now, the same friend who told me about these boards said to try to do a calender online to track when I am ovulating. The only thing is that I am so irregular with my peroids. I dont wanna buy one of those expensive ovulating test and not really into the taking my temp, so how do I do it? I can go from the length of time for my peroid being 28 days to 45 days. I am getting desprate being its been a year now. My daughter was not planned I was on the pill so I dont understand why I am having so many probs getting pg when I want to. If anyone can help I would gladly accept it!

Sorry to see no one has replied to your post yet. I don't have much advice to offer. I know FertilityFriend is pretty popular here. I would highly suggest NFP. Most use it to prevent pregnancy but it's really good for getting pregnant too. One myth is that you can't use it if you have irregular cycles but I believe that to be false. A speaker I heard once said it was wonderful for her planning her children b/c it taught her to get to know her body. She knew by being intune with her body, watching the CM, all the little signs her body gave her to indicate when she was ovulating and she said she was VERY irregular. She however did not do the temps though. I can't remember why now though lol

You could try a search on Yahoo for 'ttc and irregular cycles' I'm sure there are websites out there with more detailed advice.

Good luck!
