Icon3 conceren 1st time mommy...

Hi, first of all I would like to introduce myself Im new to this message board names Angie I'm 21 and pregnant with my first child. (31 weeks 1 day.)
DUE DATE: Feb 11, 2005.
I haven't had any complications with my birth yet, untill this..

recently (like the last two weeks) I have had alot or pressure in my pelvic area not constantly only when I roll over to the sides, or sit up, sit down, lift my legs or sometimes when I walk. So I decided to call my doctor, they sent me to labor and delivery, there I was monitered for 3 hrs and given an ultra sound, they said nothing was wrong exept I had a uranire track infection, so I was given meds and sent home. (they said the pain was most likely because of the infection.) Well I finished the 7-day meds and I'm still having pains. I don't understand it, and its really hard to move around and things, makes sleeping so uncomfortable and even the smallest task acts as a job.

Anyone have this? Anyone know what it could be?? I'm worried something might be wrong and my doctors have looked past it.

hi angie,I'm Debra. I've had 9 babies and with each pg, there is always something different that goes on.with a few of my kids,I've had that uncomfortable feeling that you're having.I believe the reason for mine was that the baby, even at 31 wks, was moving into position. This doesn't mean that you'll go into labor early, just that baby might be putting some pressure on your uterine ligaments. It does not feel very good. I would be walking, and all of the sudden,I felt a "cramping" in the most upper part of my inner thigh (by the pelvis), sometimes I was afraid that my legs were going to give out. For bladder infections (I suffered with those for11 yrs) I take what is called Palo Azul(blue water bark). You make a tea out of these "wood chips". My midwife taught me this. anyway, after 1or 2 cups, my bladder infection dissappeared. It is safe to use in pg. I don't know if you can find the herb there where you're at. I'm in south texas and I can get a package for $1.00.And you can reuse the bark chips. dry them out after use,put them in a baggie &put them in the fridge. I was always running to the dr. office for antibiotics, and they did extensive tests on my to find the problem...I found out later that all I really needed to do was watch my sugar in my diet and keep a supply of palo azul on hand..I wish I had known about herbs at the time;would've saved me alot of inconvenience and money if you're interested in palo azul, but can't find it in your area, let me know and I'll be happy to get some for you.
