Default Re: Should I be TRYING for a child in my 20s?

I have a friend who also has periods irregular like that (except when she does get hers it's very heavy and lasts much longer than it should). She has also expressed concerns about being able to conceive when she's ready and the docs blow her off too, it's very upsetting for her. The docs have said that they think she has PCOS but don't feel the need to actually test for it until she is ready to actively TTC (she is 24, but not in a long term relationship yet).

I don't think you're unreasonable at all. Push as much as you can and if possible seek other opinions from different doctors. Tell them you are ready to actively TTC and make them listen to your history. GL!
