Re: Chatty Thread #15
You know, I keep seeing Berlin back on the boards too and I'm a little put off that she hasn't come back around here. I may have to do something about that. If anybody else sees some of our old friends or maybe even some new ones to invite in, let them know we're still here!
Have you ever taken a CPR class before? That I have, that I have. I took a CPR class when I was in high school with Berlin, she had to do it because of her summer job at the pool, and then again when I was in college for one of my child development classes. So I am CPR certified.
Amanda - I'm really glad to be back too. I've been going crazy without my SK family (and without internet in general). But I've been making due with books, books, and books. I hope you had fun at the drive-in, I think we've got one somewhere in our area but I was terrified of them as a little girl, not that I know why, and I haven't had the courage to go back. What did you end up seeing?
BTW, I know it's a little slow over there (as it is here right now - which I'm hoping to change again somehow before I have to go off and have another baby) but did you ever check out the 20 Something Parents board? I can't remember to save my life. But, even our graduates are always welcome to keep posting here. I hate to loose track of everyone.

Re: Chatty Thread #15
I checked out 20 something parents, it is slow over there but I have been posting a bit. We saw Journey to the Center of The Earth, it was pretty good. It was really short only about 1.5 hours, which was fine because it was still like 98 degrees out in good old AZ,lol. And it was right by the airport (bad idea on their part) so everytime a plane flew over you couldnt hear the movie, lol which was like every 5 min. And there was a bird that kept making weird noises like it was dying. Mariah slept the whole time in her carseat so that was good. I definetly wouldnt see a movie I really wanted to see there, but it was fun instead of just staying home.

Re: Chatty Thread #15
At least you got that night out, right? I would love to have one of those for myself. I'm biding my time, although I'm not so sure I'm doing it in a patient manner at all. That is a little dumb about the location of the drive-in though. Was it the only one that you have access too? I'm pretty sure they aren't as abundant as all of the theaters are. I only know of one in our area and it's still pretty far away. It wouldn't be worth it with gas prices still the way they are. What was the cost like? Movies these days are unbelievable. Everything costs you an arm and a leg.

Re: Chatty Thread #15
Yeah that is the only drive in location I know of. It was only $6.25 so a little cheaper, I think regular movies by us are $9.50. I was looking through stuff I saved from high school and there was movie ticket stub in it (probably from a date, lol) and it said $4.25! I was like I cant believe movies used to cost so little. Now you pay $4.25 to rent a movie, it's crazy. We have the blockbuster online thing where we get movies in the mail and we use that a lot. We are big movie buffs here.

Re: Chatty Thread #15
I just went the theater with some friends last night, and for a non-matinee showing it was $10.25!! That's just crazy. It's more than double what it cost when I was growing up. I can't really remember movie prices back then, my mom was a GM at a theater and we'd go to work with her and watch all the movies we wanted for free. Shame on her for ever getting out of the theater business!

Re: Chatty Thread #15
Hi, all! Been crazy busy now that I have 2 kids 3 and under but thought I'd check in.
I have actually taken CPR 3 times. I worked at a daycare when I was 19 and it was required. I took it again when I was in nursing school in 2003 (though I obviously decided not to become a nurse afterall). And I took it again when I decided to go into the Health Information Management program in 2006 (which I did graduate from this year). It was required all 3 times unless you were still certified. My certification only lasts 2 years each time so I always just missed the mark and had to retake it.
As for icecream, I love chocolate! But I like to let my ice cream melt in a bowl a little before I eat it as I like it somewhat soft. That used to drive my stepdad nuts when I was a teen.

I don't just have one. I LOVE Butter Pecan, Peppermint Stick, and Mint Choc. Chip. Oh and can't forget the 'ol standby, Vanilla!

I usually just reward myself with a nice cold refreshing caffinated drink at the end of the day. I know it doesn't sound like much, but believe me it tastes SO good! I don't really do anything for myself. I just do for everyone else I guess. Maybe I should do something just for me!

I just wanted to come let you know that Annah hasn't disappeared again! They're moving to the new house this week so she'll be without internet for a couple of days
I hope you all have a great Tuesday! I for one am really looking forward to it. Penelope comes out on DVD today (along with an awesome sneak peak at the Twilight movie), the new trailer is coming out, and I know I'm forgetting a buttload of fun things we're supposed to be doing today.

How is everyone???? It's so quiet around here! How are those of you with quickly approaching due dates??? Getting nervous yet? Excited?
I've had to make two trips to L&D for PTL. Things are looking good right now though. Hope I can keep this little lady in here for a while longer!

Re: Chatty Thread #15
I had a few of my own L&D excursions. I had to have my PICC line pulled because of an infection, so along with bi-weekly NST's and seeing my OB I've also got to go in for IV rehydrations every other day. I can't tell you how absolutely miserable I feel. I'd almost rather they just kept me there at this point. All of this back and forth, back and forth is wearing me out. And I would normally love any chance to hear this little guy's heartbeat but just being back for yet another NST is starting to drive me loopy.
Lea, if I don't manage to make it over to DIS today to post would be so lovely as to pass along that everything so far is still looking good outside of the damn infection. You're awesome.
And I still haven't gotten to see my baby brother yet. At this rate, I probably wont see him until Christian is born, and I still want that to be weeks away. Right now, the aim is 35 weeks. 35 weeks, go, go, go!
Does anyone have any plans for the weekend?

Re: Chatty Thread #15
I don't really watch too many game shows, so I don't really have a favorite host! I've never actually seen The Price is Right, to be honest! What other game shows are there? I really don't know!
It's great to see you Kelly Is reality starting to hit yet?

Hey everyone! Cant wait to see pics of all the new babies coming a lot of you are getting so close I just wanted to check in and say hi. Right now we are sitting in the airport waiting to board the plane to go to my brothers wedding. Going through security with a baby is no easy task let me tell you. Well wish us luck for a happy, nonscreaming baby on the flight. Hope you all are doing well and no more L&D trips until your little Munchkins arrive, lol!

Bob Barker is the ultimate game show host..... However, I like the show Lingo better than the Price is Right.
