We have a a board!

in JAB under Age & experience there is a newly created Single Parenting Board. I posted there just to get the board started, but look forward to seeing everybody there. As the board isn't exclusive to single moms, maybe we will be lucky enough to get some input from a single dad along the way. That would interesting as they don't seem to be judged nearly as harshly as single moms.

The reason that single fathers are not judged harshly is because they are such a rarity, that no-one wants to scare them off. We tell them how wonderful they are to take on such burdens, how do they manage. Where, women are supposed to nurture their young without complaint, it is our cross to bear. While for men it's their choice.
At least that's how we as a society come across.
