Default Needing help!

I am a newly single mom and my son is still not comfortable where we are. I'm not sure how to get him to settle down at night without me having to comfort him or him sleeping in my bed with me night after night. I love my son but i don't want him getting too attached that at 10 or 111 hes still sleeping in the same bed as I am. thanks

Sorry no one has responded to you. You're in a tough situation on one hand I can understand him wanting to sleep with you, but on the other I completely understand why he needs to be in his own bed. How long has his dad been gone? How old is he? This is definitely a personal decision. My oldest slept with me until he was 9, thats when I had twins. He is 14 now and I tease him that he would still be sleeping with me if the twins were never born. He is like....ahh no way, mom! What have you tried so far?

My four year old sleeps with me, to be honest, I am not ready for her to sleep in he own bed yet. Now that I am having twins I feel guilty because I bought them a crib, but I am still not ready for Jace to sleep in her own bed. The crib will also be in my room, and more than likely they will probably sleep with us too...thank GOD I bought a KING size bed.

my son is now 2 on the 13th and his dad hasd been out of our lives for about 3 months now. So fairly new. My son asks for his dad but does not talk to him because of certain circumstances. However i have yet to try any thing and we are in a double bed lol little small when hes a big kid and is quite the bed hog lol.

My son slept with me til he was about 7 and after that he would still sleep with me here and there. He is now 12 1/2 and doesn't sleep with me anymore but before his lil brother came he would still ask here and there. I think that because we are single parents our kids feel more needy of us and we them. I am trying so hard not to bring the baby into my bed because I don't want him getting in the habit. So far he loves his bed thank God!

Some babies are born cuddlers, I know mine is. I bought a crib for the twins, here's to hoping/praying I actually use it.
