Anyone have any tips on keeping up beat and positive about doing this alone.

I guess just think about your baby and how it will all be worth it. I tell myself that if I can go through this pregnancy by myself then I can raise her myself. Just be strong and when your down try to smile and tell yourself how much you love your baby! :O)

i know how you feel this is my first baby and the father has taken his leave a long time ago. With no support from my family i am doing this all alone. But i keep positive by talking to my lil girl and telling her that i love her and will protect her as long as i can. PM me if you wanna talk or im me on AIM luvlilpmpkn. we can be each others support. By the way i am due March 10th, 2005 and i'm 23.

I definately know where ur coming from. I'm 19 and am about to become a single mum in 3 months with my first baby (i'm due March 12th) and it's pretty scary in a way. Just remember that you're not alone in this, and even though there will be times when u don't think u can do this there will always be people on this message board that are here for you - we'll be going through the exact same thing, so we're here to help one another.

No doubt you'll make some great friends on these message boards and find some people to talk to when ur feeling down and feel like everything is just getting a little too much. Kimmie has a great point - if we can go through this pregnancy alone then we have the courage to raise our babies.

I am 16 and have just given birth to my daughter, Isabel. Luckily I have my friends and family supporting me, but babys dad left when we found out about the pregnancy. But I promise it's all worth after they are here.

you are not alone, you and your baby will grow up and grow old together. i had my first when i was 21. the dad wanted me to get it "fixed" but i refused so he kicked me out. i am doing it alone and my baby boy is now 11 months and we have so much fun together. my parents really help too.

So proud of all of you out there making things right for your babes sans a daddy.
My baby girl is almost 5 months and we've been solo since she was a month old and it's the best. There are a million programs to help and for us there's no Daddy giving us hell and treating us bad anymore
