Icon11 Ladies,

it is hard to take this board seriously when it can/will not post up-dates regarding due dates. I know we are bust women, but no is posting at all. Is anything happening in any body's life that they might want to share.

I'll go first. I am on strict bed rest until the babies are born. I really hate it, there is so much I have to do but can't. My dd Jace will not go anywhere without me and I feel so bad about it. Jace gets up-set if she is not with me, or if someone even hands me something. She wants to take care of me all by herself.
I hate to have to depend on my mother. She has my car, goes to friends house and I feel like I am begging her to help out...I hate feeling so helpless. She uses the gas and then has the never to tell me she needs money to fill the tank. WTF! If I didn't need her I would so tell her to shove it where the sun don't shine. I'll try to post more often.

Hey I'm here. Sorry my work schedule and shift leave me little time for much else blecch. That sucks, if she is using your car for her own personal use she should fill the tank or atleast pay for half or something. How much longer til your due?

I had to go to the hospital to have my contractions stopped again. This time it took 2 shoots of trube(sp?). I am back on strict bed rest. So my OB is trying his darnest to stop the contractions, if I have five in hour then it's back to the hospital...but I have them so often. Other then softening there is no cervix change, but that does not mean anything, the women in my family drop and dilate all at once. So now the goal is five weeks, that will put me at 32wks when they are born.

How's it going for you and your boys? Any plans for Halloween?

Halloween was good. Ofcourse I had to make the rounds. Kaeden fell asleep fairly quickly but Kevin and his friend made out like bandits.

Default Re: Ladies,

We don't celebrate Thanksgiving ( here's why) but it sure was nice to get a WHOLE day off of work for the first time in MONTHS! I totally expected ds15 to be off mooching food from friends and was thoroughly surprised when he chose to spend a quiet day at home with me and we were joined by his delightful partner last evening.

I'm due in February. My edd is the 10th, but I don't put a whole lot of stock in such things; the baby will come when s/he is ready.

On to Christmas and Solstice! We're transitioning, but I hope to have Christmas down to a silly secular family day by the time the new baby is aware of it (2009, I'm guessing) and play up the more spiritual aspects of the Solstice. I really hate the malls and the commercialism and the waste pf Christmas, but I do have some fond memories of Christmases past that become more and more bittersweet with each year.

I spent my WHOLE day off sewing and made some extra-soft extra-special extra-safe for baby and planet gowns out of bamboo, which will be the first fabric that ever touches his/her skin.

Haras, I hadn't realized you were on bed rest. That totally sucks. I guess the silver lining is that I've always thought you were someone I'd like to get to know better and posting is one thing you CAN do.

Do you use a laptop? I've found that what's comfortable for me is to put the monitor on my bedside table, leaving just enough room for a mousepad, and put the keyboard on my lap. That way I can post from my desktop in the early mornings and the middle of the night without having to get out from under the nice warm covers!

Heather~I am so sorry that I have not posted lately, I have two weeks left in the semester, and not much time. I have to type three papers, 2, 3pgs and 1, 5 pg plus 8 lessons, and 3 test.
dear GOD, I have alot to do, plus my OB told me that after 34wks he will no longer stop my contractions...that is two weeks away. Thankfully after the semester is over. I also need to finish their baby blankets, Alec's is half way done, and all I can say is that I have started Avry's.
Wishing for more hours in the day. Yes I do have a laptop, and it saves my life so I can do all of that lovely work I described earlier. I promise that I'll post as soon I get the chance.
