Hey ladies, I made a request for a singli moms board whthin JAB. I think we deserve one! We need a place for all of us once we have our babes! I think if we bug them enough, they'll have to give us one! So please join me in askin for our own JAB board.

I'll certainly be wanting one. Singleness isn't really a huge issue for me during pregnancy, except for the occaisional twinge of sadness that I probably won't be able to be a SAHM, but I have been single and pregnant before but never single with a newborn, so I will need LOTS of advice and support and just shoulders to cry on about the "normal" and "to be expected" stuff that might make the married folks roll their eyes and think, "Well, what did you expect? You should have thought of that BEFORE youy got knocked up!"

Of course I thought about it and of course I expect it but that doesn't mean it ain't gonna hurt.

I agree! I feel like married mom have a certain prejudice against single moms, not all of them, but quite a few. It'd be nice to have a place to discuss issues that aren't usually issues in 2 parent households.

i agree. we even changed out private board password over a woman on the board who was so nasty over single moms and moms on welfare and wic!! luckily all the other moms on my BID06 board are terrif! we need a JAB board

are there any moms out there going through marital problems -
- I'm pregnant with twins (IVF) (now 15 wks) and a 3 1/2 year old daughter
We have been having problems for a very long time & on the verge of Divorce.
Can anyone else relate ??

No divorce advice, but you should come over to the preg w/ multiples board. My twins are 5 1/2 and the girls over there have been such a help to me over the past 6 years.

hey girls,
I was a single mum all throughout my first 2 kids pregnancies and now i've got a man that is standing beside me even though it's long distance for alittle while and i Can assure u single mum's rock and i am finding it so much i'm thinking it's better doing it alone in some aspects etc.. no fights over babies names and which hospital to have the baby in if i didn't adore my bf so much i would do it single all over again lol But i'd be nuts tooo he's the best!
