So after not speaking to each for a year Stephen calls out of the blue and wants to make arrangements outside of court and child support. I told him I was advised against it in the event he pays late, partial pay or stops payment all together. He didn't ask about the baby but he may not have been alone; he was nice but I could tell he was nervous. We talked for about 15 min, he got his answer the first minute of our convo, he could have ended it there but he seemed to stretch it out like there was more he wanted to talk about. My Mom says he was testing the waters to see if I would talk to him. She thinks he feels bad now and possibly misses talking to me. We talked about anything and everything til the sun came up. If that's the case he will call again but who nows, I'm not holding my breathe. Have any of you ladies dealt with this before? How did you handle it? Do you know how long it should take before I receive any payments?
