Re: Summer Chatty Thread
Hema - Sending strength your way! Hang in there! We have one molar all the way through and the other 3 still working in, and she has her moments. So whiney! Ugh.
How frustrating that you could not get a clear answer on the height conundrum. Seems like once the numbers get messed up like that, it will take a bit of time to settle out again. Can you get them to measure lying down, stating the issue with the weight changes? I mean, he obviously didn't shrink, why didn't they double check that measurement?
Yeah for language development? It is amazing what they can understand now, isn't it? My dp and I are starting to be more careful about what we say to each other, during stroller rides or car rides, just in case. We can ask her to show us her nose, eyes, mouth, head, belly button, toes and feet. So amazing. She follows directions now, not always, but she can.
Sounds like all the little ones are doing the imaginative play! So fun. I know I will wear out on it, but right now, I love it. My dp loves it even more.
Hope the night got better for you all!
A - So funny that they start doing all this new stuff, seemingly so suddenly. Sully has never seen a baby take a bottle, other then herself, so I was surprised to see her do it so quickly. She also loves to read to her animals now, often while offering them some of her food. Too cute.
Sounds like you are relaxing and unwinding, yeah! Enjoy the Fourth. Next year we may need doggie relaxation drugs, as our dog gets so nervous.
How fun for A and L to be swimming more confidently!
Swell - I loved my dance recitals as a kid and when I hear about Parker's, I remember them even more fondly. How wonderful for Parker! Some kids just love performing, glad she is one of them. Life is so exciting when you are willing to put yourself out there and take some risks.
AFM - We head out tomorrow for the next couple weeks and I am anxious about the drive. We are taking our time and staying somewhere half way, but 5 hours each day still seems daunting. Hopefully I will be proven wrong.
I am in awe of the rapid development happening right now. Sully is talking and signing so much more. Although she has become more independent as well and now will fight for control over things. Aww, the joys. The other night she threw a fit because she wanted out of her stroller to walk the dog. We waited until she asked, by putting her arms up and saying "ugh" for up. Then she walked the dog the entire next block. She was then exhausted, threw his leash and requested to sit back in her stroller. How do they pick up the communication so quickly? SO cool.
Alright, back to packing. Ugh. So much stuff...
I will try to check in on everyone over the weeks, but may not reply until we get back.
