Boy, things really happen in cycles.
Tasha- Welcome back! Yeah for Riley sleeping on her own. That has been a rough road with Sully. No screaming or fits, but lots of early nights for me.
I am just starting into the 2nd baby process, having started clomid and completed ap appt 1 today. Wow. It is scary and I often think we cannot possibly handle another. However, we will make it work. We have been over the numbers again and again. We can do it, even though it will be tight. We are going the IUI route though, I know I've is much more intense.
A tough decision indeed.
Tammy- Glad you popped in!
Hema - Language development is tricky, but everyone is right, this is really early yet. I have some concern for S, as she does not seem to use the "m" sound at all. But I will wait until her 18 month check up to worry. I hear you on the comparison issue, I think we have all been pretty good about sharing and not necessarily comparing. But it also helps to know when they are all relatively close in development.
How has eating been for O lately? I remember you experimenting for a bit on thicker consistencies?
Swell- Yeah for reading! Time and patience are the recipe for learning to read. The more words she repeats the better she will remember them. You can find book series that focus on word families (cat, mat, bat) so that she can pick up the rhyming scheme and read more fluently. However, research still proves the best method is reading to your child. Let her take the familiar words and you read the rest. Have her tell the story from the pictures, without telling her the words. Then she will begin to understand the concept of the story. Just a few tips...btw, pbskids.org has excellent information on literacy! Love that site!(

AFM- Last day is tomorrow and I know it will be bitter sweet. However, I cannot wait to start my summer with Sully! This weekend we have a 1 year old birthday party (our first) and Pride. Should be an excellent weekend! As long as I can forget that I have report cards to do...
So excited to be with her throughout the day. We have swimming classes each morning for the first two weeks. Then my mom, nephew and his boyfriend come into town. Fun! Then we go to California for soon time with cousins galore. I am so ready...
