Default Night time...

Okay ladies,
How are nights for you all??? Gianna will be three weeks old tomorrow, and she's great during the day, but nights are just brutal for me.

I have tried going to bed early (during her peaceful hours) so I could gear up for the night, but it just makes the nights seem even longer for me... so now, I find myself trying to stay up as late as I can so its fewer times I have to "wake up" in the middle of the night.

Gianna is still waking up every 2-3 hours in the middle of the night to eat... that in itself would not be a huge problem... but here is how it goes: she wakes up crying, so I change her diaper, then she feeds for anywhere from 10-30 minutes.. then I try to put her on my shoulder so she can burp... problem is, she never burps for me... but a few minutes later (once she has calmed down and started to doze), she gets hiccups, so she wakes up all over again and gets fussy... so then starts about 20-30 more minutes of me trying to hold and calm her....

Now that my houseguests are all gone, I moved Gianna to her room last night (which also doubles as our guest room)... so instead of her being in her fisher-price sleeper in our room, she's sleeping flat on her back for the first time... I don't know if that caused for an increased number of wake-ups/cries last night... but I need some help... I'm deliriously tired... either please tell me I am not alone in these crazy nights, or give me some suggestions of what we should do to get little bit to sleep longer during the crazy 2am-6am hours...
