DH and I went to pick Lily up from daycare yesterday, and we're standing outside talking to our daycare lady when her little daughter (maybe 4 years old?) comes up behind me and says "You have a big butt!". Out of the mouths of babes, huh? Guess my diet is REALLY not going well! Our poor daycare woman - she was SO embarrassed and kept apologizing. That's kids for ya!

Oh no!! When the little girl walked away I woulda said "Someone finally noticed! It took me 36 years to get my butt like that!!" That's me though, I'm always trying to make light of certain situations like that...lol Sorry you had to hear that? How did you respond? What did you say?

Amy - I'm so good at not knowing WHAT to say until hours after the situation. At the time I just kind of laughed, and the first thing that went through my mind was "..and YOU have a big mouth!" but I wanted to be an adult. hehe Later I thought I should have said "that's what you get for not eating your veggies!" or something stupid like that. Oh well.

I would've just laughed and said "thanks, I hadn't noticed!" You can bet that child and it's mother had a long talk that night about being polite! LOL
