I personally thought the 1st person/3rd person perspectives were the most interesting. Both are essentially tied to each character's own thoughts, but I think the 1st person used for Tessa made me sympathize with her more at times, but also hate her more at times. I felt like Valerie's point of view fit her character more - sort of guarded and at an arm's length at all times.

Despite that, I found Valerie to be the most sympathetic character - she did a lot of wrong things, but she didn't ask to be put there and tried to act on what she felt was real. There were parts of her chapters where I was crying incessantly.
