Hi Kim and everyone,

I have been gone pretty much the whole month of December on vacation. My DH wanted to get a few trips in before the baby arrived so we have been to China and Thailand.

China was excellent, I loved China. We stayed in Beijing and while there we climbed the Great Wall...even me at 6 months pregnant. We also went to see the Summer Palace, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Tinnamen Square, Ming Tombs..plus we went to see how they made pearls, silk and jade and we bought quite a bit as the prices were really good. Shopping at the markets was excellent and we got a lot of clothing and footwear, and the food was excellent. Beijing duck almost everynight...yummy.

Four days later we jumped on another plane and headed to Patong Beach, Phuket in Thailand and spent 6 glorious days in the sun and the heat. I've got a nice tan all over my body and my belly is nice and brown now! The beach was nice and the food was great...I ate lots. I loved having fresh coconut juice from the actual coconut and a straw.. We left there and went to Bangkok mainly for shopping as it is a shopping city. My DH bought some really nice custom made suits, shirts and sport jackets and I stacked up on silk scarves and nice skirts.

I did get my Christmas present in Thailand and I love it so much, it's a gorgeous white gold ring with two panthers facing eachother to represent husband and wife. They have emeralds for eyes and they are encrusted with diamonds and sapphires...my DH is soooo good to me.

Now, I am packing and getting ready for my move back to Canada to stay with my mother until I am ready to deliver. It's hard to pack as I will be gone 4 months or so and I will need maternity and post pregnancy clothes and I only have two suitcases... not fun to decide on what to bring. I'm not to happy on leaving my DH as I'm sure he is going to starve to death or live off of instant noodles and beer.

hey Lisa glad you dropped in for a minute to say hi, wow not much longer and you'll be holding that sweet baby, sounds like you had a great Christmas... well you take care, will you be able to go online at your mom's?

I'm going to try, my mother has a really old computer and she is in the country on dial-up...yikes! I'm back in the stone age there. I wanted to help her get a new computer but if the internet speed is only so fast there is no point right now...
