I was just wondering what you all though about my situation.

My baby boy was born February 27, 2004. I breastfeed him until he was about five months old. At six months post pregnancy my periods returned. Since then I have had four very normal periods averaging about 28 days apart, beginning around the first of the month.

This month was no different. My period started December 31, 2004. This means that I would have Ovulated around the 14th or 15th of January. I had sex the night of January 15, the morning of January 16 and that night. Each time my boyfriend did not pull out. I’m also not on any form of birth control. So far I have not really had any symptoms, maybe a little tired, but that’s just the thing. Usually when my period is about to come I have all the PMS symptoms. When I got pregnant with my son the only symptoms I had were bloating and the blue veins on my breasts.

I took a pregnancy test Tuesday morning with my first morning’s urine (First Response Early) and it came out negative. Do you all think it was too early to test? I’m going to the pregnancy Resource Center Friday morning. What are the chances that this test is going to come out positive?

Im in a similar sort of situation, cept I dont know when I ovulated due to giving birth on Dec 3.

Anyway, IF I Ovulated, would've been around Jan 17 (due to estimation of ovulating and a period from taking 2 pills to dry up my milk).

Anyway, I too tested on Tuesday....BFN. So, Im testing tomorrow..............about 2 days before a period MAY be due. Im sure hoping it comes out +.

With Declan, I got the BFP, very faintly, at about 13 to 17 dpo. So, there is a wide variance. Im assuming that if I am pregnant, I MAY get a slight positive in the morning. Will have to wait and see. Please let me know what happens!

well i think you probably did test to early,i know these new test are designed to pick up hcg levels early,but i still suggest on waiting till your late before you test...
i tested neg. all the way untill i was 4 days late,then i tested postive...
with that said, you have a 50/50 chance of being pg if no birth control was used.
i would test again if af doesn't show up! good luck to you !

This is driving me crazy.

Maybe I did test too early. With my son, I didn't test positive for a while. Even then it was a faint positive. I just wish I knew already. I do agree with the tests being big pieces of money traps. We all want to test that will tell us right away. But it seems that all tests are hit and miss. The only thing that is sure is going to the doctor.

I know there is a very high chance that I am pregnant. But like I said, I don’t think I’m having any symptoms. Maybe I am, but I keep playing it off to being psychological. I asked my boyfriend if he was nervous and he said no, are you? And I was like Yes! Then he was like ok, well then I am too.

I think my period should have started today. If not today, then maybe tomorrow. I’ve been feeling very bloated today. I also had some dull cramps. I remember those from the last time I was pregnant. But what if it all just PMS? The last time I was pregnant, I kept feeling like my period was going to start, but it never did.

I’m not sure if I’m ready to have another baby. I know I want lots of babies, but maybe it’s too soon. What if my body can’t take the stress? I guess that’s what I’m really worried about.

Oh well, I only have 11 more hours. I go to the clinic tomorrow at 9:00am. I hope the test is right. There doing a urine test. If it comes back negative, then I’m just not pregnant. At least I know I will have someone by my side no matter the outcome.

Well, I tested this morning and BFN. Blah. Not what I wanted to see, specially after all my symptoms. If I ovulated on the 17th or around there, period would be due on the 31st and I tested today, the 28th with an early detection test.

With my last baby (born 8wks ago) I tested a very faint positive on an early detection test at about 13dpo. This time round, who knows when I ovulated! All I know is that on Jan 3,4 and 5 I had HUGE amounts of bleeding, very painful too. Felt like a period. Up til then, my pp bleeding had completely tapered off, so was a shock with all the new bleeding.

So working from that, I would next ovulate Jan 17. On Jan 15, had slight spotting (egg releasing?) and Jan 18 and 19, BAD cramping and feeling like AF was coming. But she didnt. Have had cramping on and off ever since and twinges. Nausea, quite bad and my boobs have grown...noticeably! Other signs too, similar to what I had with Declan.

But as I said, BFN today. I bought 2 more tests. Dont know why Im wasting my money. Just that if I took those tablets to dry my milk on Dec 9 and 10, and I had that big bleed on Jan 3 +, then that could've been a period, as the tablets make you ovulate. Only time will tell but its killing me!!!!

PLEASE let us know what happens at the appointment. Im hoping a BFP!!! Either way, you'll know and in time, I will know too.

Well, I guess today is the first day of my missed period. I went to the clinic at 9:00am this morning. Guess how the tests turned out?

I’m not pregnant.

This urine test is supposed to be 99.9 percent accurate on the day of your missed period. So I guess my period should start any minute. I think the last time I got pregnant I took the test the day after my missed period and it came back negative. Or well it came back to where you could only see the positive line if you held it up to the light and squinted. So, I’m not sure what to think. If my period hasn’t started by Monday, I’m going to take the other test that I bought. Until then, I guess it back to the pregnancy guessing game part 3.

Well, I know for me that AF has arrived. Well, at least I think she has. I had my baby Dec 3, period Jan 3 and now another one, Feb 3. My body like's the 3's!!!!

Im in a tonne of pain and couldnt even go to work today. Im a teacher, and its not like I can leave the class every half hour to change a tampon........lol. So last night I cried and cried and felt all sad.

Stupid body messing me around. How did you go? Have you retested?? Or is your body playing silly fools like mine?
