faint positives??? Let me know what ya think!!
hi everyone! I am totally confused! I took 2 Fact Plus tests last night and the positive lines were very, very faint. I have heard of evap lines, but these lines on these tests came up very quickly.
Ok, so I figured that I would wait until this morning and go get another one. Woke up (had to pee like crazy...LOL) and ran to Rite Aid. Got a Rite Aid brand test (bc I also read they test lower levels of HPT...and are only 9.00 to boot!) Ok, ok, so anyhow, I get home and so the test. Well, at first, the control line didn't even show up. About 3 minutes later it did. (Normally that line shows up right away, doesn't it??)
Then the entire test window was blue. I would honestly say that the test window was blue for a good 7-10 minutes. When all was said and done and the blue faded away....there it was...a BFP sign. Should I diregard this bc of the control line probs and the blue test window??
The reason I started buying these was bc my period came but was only for 2.5 days when it is normally completly over after 5. Also, it was very dark brown and no clotting. Also, bbs are still sore, even after 7 days since AF was through.
What do you think?
I hate to keep spending money on these tests!!!
Well, thanks in advance!!
Laura

Has anyone else had this happen???
oh...btw....the one today, despite the blue test window or washout or whatever.......is not faint. It is a pretty dark positive line. Could this be a malfunction of the test?? Has anyone else had this happen??

Since it didn't work right I would take a diffrent test. You can get cheap ones from target...etc or you could get a digital one and then you wouldn't have to interperate the lines.

And I would use first of the morning urine, since it contains more HGC than it would at any other time. Good luck and keep us posted~

Re: faint positives??? Let me know what ya think!!
thanks all! I will be buying a few more tonight and see what happens. It did come up w/i 10 minutes but with all the stuff that happened bf I can't tell. At first I thought the test was a complete dud until I finally started to see the control line coming up. I never had this happen before. Never had such a dark line. Does anyone know what level the Clear Blue Digital tests at??

Dont get the clear blue digital. get the first response digital. It detects earlier. I used both and got a bfn on the cb and a bfp on the fr. Also, you can get cheap tests at the Dollar General. They worked just as well as the more expensive ones I bought. Good luck.

Re: faint positives??? Let me know what ya think!!
hey all! went to Eckerd last night and got their generic test. (Same as Rite Aid) I had told my bf about it before I went. He wanted me to take them when I got home....I tried to explain to him that I had drank water, coffee and lemonade for the last few hours and so I wasn't sure what would come up!! Sure enough, when I took the tests, well, I could see a extremely faint line on each .... bf sd "No, they are negative" bc he could not see the lines that I saw. So, it definetly was not as obvious as the previous test. Now I dont know if that was a dud and these were evap lines or what!! Mt bbs are so sore and have been since my irregular short AF which ended a week ago. (Normally 4-5 days - has been since I was 12! This one was 2.5 and no heavy at all. Dark brown, no clotting and a huge glob of cm at the end)
Well, with just having Christmas and bills to catch up on....we are flat broke until payday next week. Since he is also now convinced that I am not, I will probably be on my own with the test buying!! ugh!! This is so frustrating!!

Re: faint positives??? Let me know what ya think!!
hey all...went to Dollar Tree and bought 4 tests! I did 2 tonight and even I gotta say...I see nothing! They are supposed to be really sensative too. Don't know if the other's were duds or what...but I will try again tomorrow morning w fmu and if the same result then I guess the BFP was an error w the Rite Aid test.
Thanks for your input!
I will keep u posted!

Re: faint positives??? Let me know what ya think!!
Hi everyone. Well, those tests were BFN but I think I am going to wait a week and get a real one. (Like Clearblue or something) I do think the Rite Aid was a dud (with the whole blue dye everywhere thing) but I know I don't feel the same. With my period being so short and bbs as swollen and sore as they are even a week later.....something is up. And I am sooo tired.
I will keep u posted!!
Thanks for all of your advice!!

Re: faint positives??? Let me know what ya think!!
If you are still testing, I would reccommend that you check out www.babyhopes.com. They sell "Aimstick" pregnancy tests which are like 10 for 20 dollars. They are extremely sensitive and can be used at like 8-10 DPO. I have used them in the past and had great results. Anyhow, that way you will know for sure one way or another. Good luck

Re: faint positives??? Let me know what ya think!!
Well Pregnancy tests are 99% accurate. If you have done as many as you said and nothing then i would say you are not pregnant, i took a test thats only meant to be used from the day your period was due and got a faint line..this was 4 days before my period was due...depends how much HCG you have in your system too.
But the amount of tests you have dont it is rare for all to be wrong.
