Hi all! I've never been here before, but I'm looking forward to learning from others and engaging in conversation! I am experiencing brown vaginal discharge (it's light - just visible when wiping) and have been since Friday, 1/30. Normally I would expect this to be the beginning of AF (I sometimes get the brown blood first, then AF starts), but it is almost a week early -- and I am NEVER early. I've been on birth control pills for over 3 years and never experienced an early AF. I'm very regular on a 29 day cycle - I always get AF the Thursday of my placebo pills... ALWAYS. The first day of my last AF was Jan. 8. My boyfriend and I DTD on 1/23 and 1/24 and I am due 2/5.

Aside from this odd blood, I also became nauseous on Saturday and Sunday night this past weekend. Saturday I had been craving pizza all night (normal), and by the time I got to the house we were partying at and ordering the pizza from, all I wanted was to sleep and try to forget how I was feeling. I ended up sleeping with a cold wash cloth on my face and a garbage can next to the bed because I was feeling horrible. Last night I ended up in bed at 8:30 because I was feeling sick again. I ended up throwing up a little when I woke up to go to the bathroom.

I was on Tri-Nessa BC tablets for 3 years, but in December my gyno switched me to the brand name of Ortho Tri Cyclen. I'm always consistent with taking my pills every day, but I still understand I'm not 100% protected against pregnancy, so I still worry. I am not having my normal AF symptoms of sore breasts or extreme cramping, but I am extremely tired although I had a full night's sleep.

I took a HPT this morning (EPT -- states you can test up to 5 days before your missed period), and it came out a BFN. However, after reading through some sites, I came under the impression that you cannot use urine that comes after already using the restroom in that hour. I had peed twice in the hour already, so by the time I took the HPT, it was my 3rd time and I didn't really have to go so there was only a little (TMI).

Can someone help me?? I'm not sure I understand when ovulation occurs on a 29-day cycle or when/if implantation occurs right before AF should be coming, and would it already show up if it's only been 1 week since my BF and I had sex? Any advice, opinions, or just a listening ear, is very much appreciated!! Thank you so much in advance!
