Question for those who have used prog. supp.
Hi gals, just a quick question for you, my dr has released me to go to a midwife and I have my first appt with her on November 5th. As far as the prometrium goes I had 12 days left from last thursday when I last saw my re and he said that was fine to use that up and I didn't need it anymore that the placenta will take over. I asked did they want to check my bw again and make sure the levels are fine and they said no the placenta will take over and you should have no problems. Keep in mind when I started the prometrium my levels only dropped slightly so it was a precautionary type thing.
So my question should I push for them to check it again before I go off the pills or should have the midwife check it when I go to the first appt or I am fine to not have it checked.
The reason I worry is my sister had a premature baby that was 2 months early but they are not sure the cause and I know progesterone problems can cause prematurity, so what was you experience and what would you do?
