Icon5 Is it the test or the antidepressant?

I'm taking Lexapro and I just got on it alittle over a week ago. I was suppose to start my period sometime this week, mine vary so much I always give myself a week to start without worrying. Yesterday I hit day 35 and nothing. So I went and got an EPT test (it came with a free one thats how I picked it out lol ). DH bugged the crap out of me to take one last night so before I got in the shower I took one. When I got out there was half a , just the top of it was showing. So this morning as soon as I woke up I took another one which was
I don't know if there was something with the test or if I'm not getting a period because of the Lexapro. I looked in the info that came with it and it said nothing about missing a period. What do y'all think? I know I should probably just go get another test since still today no sign of a period coming and it's day 36!!!! But I'm sunburned like CRAZY, so bad that it hurts just to type this!!!, and don't want to leave the house lol Do ya blame me?!
TIA!

Hmmm... The test with the half BFP could have been faulty. My periods range from 31 to 36 days so being at day 36 may not be significant (I think periods can run from 27-40 days and be considered normal.. I would continue to take good care of yourself and test again in another day, when your feeling better from your sunburn, or DH make the run to the store.
Let us know what you find out!

i found this on a medical forum, where the replies are more like "Ask a Dr."
(Q)Can taking Lexapro affect pregnancy test results? I am 10 days late on my period and I am feeling fatigue, head aches, emotional, etc.

(A)No, pregnancy tests look for a specific hormone that is not mimic'd by Lexapro.

***whoops

the site also says that lexapro is an alternative to paxil for pregnant women, so even if you are pregnant(or get pregnant in the future), then the anti-deppressant shouldnt have any reflections on the child either! so you should wait a week, and test again, and if the results aren't what you think are right, try a blood test...

it shouldnt affect your blood test either!
